Below is a rundown on some tips and strategies you can use in order to survive against the beast in Amnesia: The Bunker.

Always look to use things lying around in the surrounding environment such as crates and pieces of furniture to block holes from where the monster crawls out. If you block these passages it will slow the beast down which will result in giving you a few more seconds to escape.

Don't forget that the Administration room in Amnesia: The Bunker is also your safe room. It is a place providing the steel doors are locked that the beast cannot breach.

In Amnesia: The Bunker there are plenty of pre-placed booby traps on the ground that will activate if you step on them. Look to take advantage of these traps by drawing the beast towards them, so it triggers the explosion. Although this will not kill the beast it will slow it down and even discourage it from following you further. Any traps in your way can be easily disarmed using wire cutters.

There are certain telltale signs you need to be aware of in Amnesia: The Bunker which will indicate the beast is near. Listen out for footsteps and growls and also keep an eye out for lights which begin to flicker as this indicates the beast is near them. If you notice dust coming out of a hole you need to leave that room as quickly as possible as the beast is about to crawl out of it. When your vision becomes distorted it indicates you are about to be attacked by the beast.

Don't panic if you see the beast in Amnesia: The Bunker as there is a possibility that it has not noticed you. If you have been unlucky the beast will roar once to confirm it has spotted you. Whenever the beast appears at the location of the disturbance you should couch down and stay out of its direct sight and wait for it to leave before moving.

A good way of luring the beast to an area away from you is to go to an area in the opposite direction and make some noise. Two effective ways are to throw a grenade or drop a flare. Once the distracted beast has followed the sound and converged on the location you simply stealthily make your way back to where you want to go.

Hiding places are crucial for survival in Amnesia: The Bunker. Make sure you keep an eye out for suitable hiding spots as you progress through the game and make a note of them. Don't run when you sense the presence of the beast around you as your sprinting will make noise. It is better to find a hiding spot as quickly as possible and remain there until the beast has gone away.

The level of noise you make in Amnesia: The Bunker determines the consequence you will suffer. The sounds that make less noise, such as moving objects, cranking up your flashlight, and closing doors are less likely to attract the attention of the beast which will appear immediately if it hears a frag grenade explosion or gunshot.
