--------------------------------------------
[c01] - Vaniville Town
--------------------------------------------
Your adventure starts with Professor Sycamore greeting you. First off, you
have to specify your character’s gender. You have to select one of the
three default faces then you have to enter your name. Confirm if its
correct and you’ll start in your own room.

After waking up, examine the mirror to change out of your pyjamas. You can
interact with the various objects in your room if you want then once
you’re done, you can head downstairs to find your mom. She will then tell
you to say hi to your neighbors. Leave the house afterward.

After opening the door, you’ll find two other kids waiting outside.
They’ll welcome to Vaniville town and introduce themselves as Serena (for
male characters) or Calem (for female characters) and Shauna. They will
also tell you that the esteemed professor, Sycamore is looking for five
kids, including them.

You’ll see them leave the town through the gates and you’re inclined to
follow. You can explore the town as much as you want; when ready, you can
leave the town and follow the girls. You can press and hold the B button to
run. Go through Route 1 and you’ll reach Aquacorde Town almost instantly.

=In this town:=
-Pokeball Shop
-Potion Shop
-Rest House
-Photo Spot

After arriving, somebody will call up to you. Go to the left to find Serena
and Shauna and two more kids. They’ll start suggesting nicknames for you
after the brief introduction.

You can select a nickname from their suggestions or just pick your own.
Should you do the latter, you can specify whatever nickname you want your
new friends to call you.

Now comes the fun part; choosing your starter pokemon. Move the cursor over
the pokeballs corresponding the pokemon of your choice and select it. After
receiving your first pokemon, you can give it a nickname if you want.
You’ll also receive a pokedex and the Prof’s Letter to your mom. You
have to deliver the letter back to your mom so leave the town to the south.
However, you’ll be stopped by Shauna, who’ll challenge you to a pokemon
battle.

-=Shauna (Prize money: 500)=-
Pokemon (s): Any starter weak against what you chose

Unlike the other debut battles, you’ll actually have the advantage over
the battle. Since I picked Fennekin, Shauna has selected Chespin. At LV5,
your pokemon will have a special move in accordance of their type. Use that
move to easily take out your opponent. Since Fennekin is a fire-type
pokemon, I used Ember to take out Chespin in two turns.

After the battle, your pokemon should level up. Head back to Vaniville Town
and deliver the letter to your mom. She’ll get you ready for a journey
and even give you a town map. Leave the house and Rhyhorn will be send you
off. Now head back to Aquacorde town and go to the plaza.

Talk to the man southeast of the fountain to receive a Potion. You can also
buy some more potions from the store beside him. There’s a photo spot to
the northeast corner of the plaza but you can’t use it yet.

There’s also another shop to the western side of the plaza that sells
Pokeballs. Make sure to buy yourself some. As there is no Pokemon Center in
this town, you can use the across the Pokeball shop, it is on the building
beside the potion shop. Head north of the town and cross the bridge.
You’ll eventually reach Route 2.

--------------------------------------------
[c02] - Route 2 - Avance Trail

Level Range of wild pokemon: 2-4

Pokemon available:

|Scatterbug-|Bug-------------|
|Zigzagoon--|Normal----------|

Go through the first patch of grass and you’ll come across Serena and
Shauna. Serena will then show you how to catch pokemon. After catching the
Bunnelby, Serene will give you 10 pokeballs. You can now start training
your pokemon by fighting wild pokemon. You can also start capturing some of
them to register them to your pokedex.

Near the end of the route, right outside the entrance to Santalune Forest,
a pokemon trainer is waiting and will challenge you to a battle when you
walk in front of him.

-=Youngster Austin (Prize: 120)=-
LV5 Zigzagoon (Normal)

Youngster Austin only has a LV5 Zigzagoon so it shouldn’t be a problem
for your current pokemon. In case you need to heal up, don’t hesitate to
use your potions. You can also go back to the building beside the pokeball
shop in Aquacorde Town or back to your house in Vaniville town and talk to
your mom to rest up and fully recover your pokemon’s HP and PP. When
ready, exit north to Santalune Forest.

--------------------------------------------
[c03] - Santalune Forest

Level Range of wild pokemon: 3-4

Pokemon available:

|_____________________________________|

Shortly after entering the forest, Shauna will call you from behind.
She’ll ask to walk with you for a while. She’ll also be able to heal
your pokemon anytime by talking to her. This is a good time to train your
pokemon and capture as many as you can.

Start by picking up the Potion to the immediate right. Next, head to the
left past the kid and find an Antidote in the upper-left corner of the
patch of grass.

From there, head north and pick up another potion in the corner of the
patch of grass. Backtrack to the right and follow the path to the right.
You’ll find Serena and the others along the way the path leading north.
Continue forth and Shauna will find a Paralyze Heal in the next patch of
grass.

There’s a trainer waiting in the lower path to the west but you can go
around him if you want. However, you should be able to fight him since you
have healer Shauna with you at the moment.

-=Youngster Joey (Prize: 72)=-
LV3 Scatterbug (Bug)
LV3 Fletchling (Normal/Flying)

This battle shouldn’t be that tough considering that Youngster Joey’s
pokemon are only LV3. You can mow them down with your starter or just any
of your captured pokemon that you wish to train/raise.

As you continue along, you’ll meet Serena along the way. Talk to her to
receive a poke ball. Move along the path and you’ll have to defeat the
next trainer to continue.

-=Lass Anna (Prize: 120)=-
LV5 Pikachu (Electric)

Lass Anna’s Pikachu is only LV5 so you shouldn’t have problems dealing
with it as well.

After defeating Lass Anna, continue south and you’ll encounter a split in
the path. To the right lies another trainer that you can battle.

-=Lass Lise (Prize: 96)=-
LV2 Weedle (bug/poison)
LV4 Bunnelby (normal)

Lise’s pokemon aren’t that strong either. You can just sweep through
them like what you did with Lass Anna.

Continue to the right past Lise and you’ll find a poke ball at the end of
the path. Head to the left this time and you’ll find a Potion.

Talk to Shauna again to heal your pokemon for the last time then continue
north of the path and Serena will speak with you. After the others arrive,
continue forth to leave the forest.

After leaving the forest, you’ll have another conversation with your
fellow fledgling trainers. Serena will give you the Adventure Rules book.
After the conversation, you’ll be free to go wherever you want again.
Save your game if you haven’t yet then continue north. You’ll find a
few trainers along the way as well.

-=Preschooler Oliver (Prize: 62)=-
LV2 Caterpie (bug)
LV4 Azurill (normal/fairy)

This is another trainer battle that you shouldn’t have problems with.
Azurill has a water-type attack but you shouldn’t worry even if you’re
using Fennekin since you can win the battle with brute force, ignoring
Fennekin’s elemental weakness. If you’re using Chespin then you should
be able to defeat Azurill in a breeze.

-=Preschooler Ella (Prize money: 80)=-
LV5 Pichu (electric)

Ella’s pokemon isn’t that much of a trouble as well. Just mow it down
with whatever pokemon you have, especially if you’re focus-training your
starter.

Move along and go downstairs to the left. A running person will abruptly
stop you and will just pass through. There’s an item to the northeast but
you won’t be able to access it for now. Head south to challenge a
schoolgirl.

-=Schoolgirl Bridget (Prize money: 192)=-
LV6 Bidoof (normal)

Continue south, past Bridget and jump over the ledge. Pick up the Super
Potion and go around the patch of grass to encounter another trainer ahead.

-=Schoolboy Brighton (Prize money: 96)=-
LV3 Pansage (grass)
LV3 Pansear (fire)
LV3 Panpour (water)

Pansage is a grass-type, Pansear is a fire-type and Panpour is a
water-type. You can exploit their weaknesses or just rely on brute strength
by having higher levels than them.

Continue north to reach Santalune City.

--------------------------------------------
[c05] - Santalune City
--------------------------------------------
=In this city:=
-Pokemon Center
-Boutique
-Pokemon School
-Pokemon Gym

As soon as you enter, you’ll see the Pokemon Center and beside it is a
Boutique that sells hat and accessories where you can buy stuff to
customize your character. You can check what items are available by getting
inside the shop’s fitting room.

Enter the pokemon center and your friend will remind you of the basic
functions of the pokemon center. There’s a fitting room at the upper left
part of the center and a pokemon mart on the other side. If you received
any mystery gift (like the special distribution Torchic), you can talk to
the lady beside the nurse. There’s also a PC beside the nurse as well.

you talk with the girl in the leftmost house to learn about the badges and
their effects. Head to the fountain in the middle of town then go to the
east. Enter the house to the right and talk to the kid there to get a Great
Ball.

If you enter the house to the left of fountain, you can talk to the guy
there to trade a Bunnelby for his Farfetch’d. Bunnelby is a common
pokemon you can capture in Route 3.

After completing the trade, go back to the fountain and enter the Pokemon
School to the north. Talk to the teacher there to receive X Attacks and X
Defenses. You can also check the school’s whiteboard to learn about
different basic status conditions.

Next, head to the upper right portion of the map to find a girl in front of
the Santalune City Gym. Talk to her and she’ll challenge you to a battle.
She offers a pair of roller blades if you can beat her.

-=Roller Skater Rinka (Prize money: 224)=-
LV7 Zigzagoon (normal)

Rinka’s Zigzagoon is a bit stronger compared to what you have encountered
in the wild so far. However, it is not that threatening, especially if
you’re training your pokemon. Defeat her with ease and receive the roller
blades from her.

You won’t be able to leave the area to the southwest since the gym
leader’s sister will stop you from advancing. If you managed to defeat
Rinka, you should be able to challenge the gym leader. If you feel that you
still need to train, you can exit the town to the east to reach Route 22.
If you’re ready, just head right in and enter the Santalune City Gym.

/Hidden Items/
These items can be easily detected using the Dowsing Machine that you'll
get bit later. You can still get these hidden items without it .

Great Ball: Lower-right corner of the chairs and tables, cafe in the hill,
northwest of the town.
Antidote: In the lower-left lamp post, cafe in the hill, northwest of the
town.

Super Potion: Far left signboard, cafe in the hill, northwest of the town.

--------------------------------------------
[c06] - Santalune City Gym
--------------------------------------------
Leader: Viola
Pokemon Type: Bug

The gym will be accessible after defeating Roller Skater Rinka. Before
braving this gym, make sure you have pokemon with flying, fire or rock
moves. If you have Fennekin, then you shouldn’t have to worry about this
gym. If you have Froakie or Chespin, you should still be able to exploit
the weaknesses of the trainers and gym leader by bringing in a good-leveled
Torchic or Pansear.

The gym must be navigated in a web-like structure which will put you along
the way of other trainers.

-=Youngster David (Prize money: 240)=-
LV10 Ledyba

-=Youngster Zachary (Prize money: 240)=-
LV10 Spewpa

-=Lass Charlotte (Prize money: 216)=-
LV7 Kakuna
LV9 Combee

-==Gym Leader Viola (Prize money: 1920)==-

LV10 Surskit (bug/water)
Surskit will catch your fire-type pokemon off guard. Not only that it is a
dual bug/water-type that will make your fire attacks deal normal damage, it
also has water moves that can endanger your fire pokemon (if you’re
fighting it at the same level). If you have Pikachu, its Thunder Shock
works wonders against Surskit.

LV12 Vivillon (bug/flying)
You can exploit this pokemon’s weakness with fire again. Be careful if
you’re using other types of pokemon when fighting this one. Since it has
high speed and attack ratings, expect it to act first and deal considerable
damage. It can also use harden to bolster its defenses. Just use fire-type
moves to defeat this enemy with ease.

Rewards:
Bug Badge (You can control pokemon up to LV30)
TM83 Infestation

After defeating Viola, take the stairs behind her to leave the gym. Heal up
your pokemon and try to leave the city to the northwest. The woman there,
Alexa will give you a Exp Share. Your next destination is Lumiose City.

There's an item to the northwest corner of the map but that's currently
inaccessible due to a thorn blocking its path. This route leads to a dead
end but you can encounter several trainers and find an item in this
immediate area. You can also encounter some new pokemon in the grass as
well.

-=Rising Star Louise (Prize money: 420)=-
LV6 Psyduck (water)
LV7 Litleo (Fire/Normal)

-=Lass Lesa (Prize money: 192)=-
LV8 Flabebe (Fairy)

Once you’ve reached the stairs to the southwest, you’ll find a ledge
across it. You can jump over the ledge and find a Super Potion after the
second ledge.

If you take the stairs to the southeast of the area, you’ll find yourself
in the entrance of Victory Road. You can’t proceed any further so you
don’t have any choice but to go back to Santalune City and exit to the
northwest to Route 4.

You’ll find some different colored flowers in the field of this route.
There are also some items in the maze-like labyrinths along the sides of
the road and some hidden items as well (Check the list of hidden items
below). Shortly after leaving Santalune City, check the maze to the left to
find a Repel. Check the maze to the right this time and find your way to
reach the Super Potion.

Head north past a very small flower patch to reach another maze. You'll
immediately see and pick up a Great Ball there. Check out the other maze
across and battle a roaming trainer there.

-=Gardener Wheaton (Prize Money: 650)=-
LV10 Corphish (water)

After defeating the trainer, go around him to get the antidote. After
getting the item, move to the north to find a very large fountain. There
are a couple of roving trainers in roller blades so it's up to you if you
want to avoid or fight them.

-=Roller Skater Calida (Prize Money: 320)=-
LV10 Fletchling

-=Roller Skater Roland (Prize Money: 320)=-
LV10 Pidgey

Continue north past the fountain and you'll find two roads. Both of them
have trainers along the way that you can fight or avoid if you want.

-=Pokefan Agnes (Prize Money: 560)=-
LV7 Burmy
LV7 Burmy
LV7 Burmy

Agnes will use different versions of Burmy. Their movesets seem to be the
same; only their appearances are different

-=Preschooler Adrian (Prize Money: 144)=-
LV9 Magikarp

-=Preschooler Mia (Prize Money: 144)=-
LV9 Budew

Grab the Poison Barb inside the enclosed flower patch. In the northern end
of that flower path, you'll find another trainer.

-=Pokefan Gabe (Prize Money: 720)=-
LV7 Pichu
LV9 Pikachu

Gabe's pokemon shouldn't be that dangerous. In case you're not carrying
pokemon strong against electric types, you can just win by brute strength
through level advantage.

Next, check the maze to the northwest. There's a Net Ball in the corner of
the maze and a trainer nearby that you can battle. There's also another
maze in the eastern side of the road where there's another gardener trainer
and another item in the corner. Defeat the gardener and grab the Ether in
the corner.

-=Gardener Grover (Prize Money: 640)=-
LV10 Chorpish

-=Gardener Fabian (Prize Money: 640)=-
LV10 Chorpish

Once done, save your game if you haven't yet then continue along the road
to find Sina and Dexio. Talk to them and they'll offer to take you to
Professor Sycamore's lab.

Hidden Items
These items can be easily detected using the Dowsing Machine that you'll
get bit later. You can still get these hidden items without it .

Honey: Left maze, near Santalune.
Honey: One of the small bushes in the middle, shortly after the fountain.

Honey: Left maze, past the fountain and on the way to Lumiose City
entrance.
Super Potion: Upper part of the right maze near Lumiose City gates.

Once inside, go past the counter and Dexio will give you TM27 Return.
There's a lot to explore in this town but let's just follow the course of
events for now. Head to the Pokemon Lab which is along South Blvd. You're
already facing the correct direction so just go straight ahead and you'll
see Sina standing outside the lab. She'll invite you to go inside
afterward.

Sina will inform you that the professor is located on the third floor.
However, you can stop by the second floor to get x5 Luxury Balls from the
lady scientist in front of the glowing cylinder . Head to the third floor
to finally meet up with the professor.

He will ask you to follow him but before you do so, go to the right and
talk to the scientist in front of the bookshelf to get the TM54 False
Swipe. Head to the other side of the room to find the professor. Shortly,
Shauna and your rival will arrive. The professor will also suggest a
pokemon battle against him. To trigger the battle, you have to talk to him.
If you want, you can go to the pokemon center first and heal yourself if
your party is in really bad condition.

-=Professor Sycamore (Prize money: 1400)=-
LV10 Bulbasaur (grass)
LV10 Squirtle (water)
LV10 Charmander (fire)

Sycamore's pokemon are the classic and very first starters of the pokemon
series. They can easily taken out since one of them will be definitely weak
against your chosen pokemon. Just exploit their weaknesses to win the
battle.

After the battle, you'll be able to select one of the Kanto region
starters. If your party is full, you can select one in your current party
to be sent back to the Box. You'll also be given a chance to give a
nickname to your newly acquired pokemon. In addition, you'll also receive a
corresponding mega stone for your chosen pokemon. Mega Stones will allow
your pokemon to undergo Mega Evolution. Take note that only Charmander will
have two versions of mega stones. For Pokemon X, you'll obtain Charizardite
X and for Y, it's Charizardite Y.

He will also mention about investigating the mega stones and that you
should check out Camphrier Town. Get into the elevator and ride it to the
first floor. As soon as you get off, you'll see Sina talking with an
orange-haired man. His name is Lysandre and you'll get acquainted with him.
As you try to leave, the other kids will catch up with you. Your rival will
also tell you to talk in Cafe Soleil. After the brief conversation, you're
now free to roam the area.

Since we're already in town, it wouldn't hurt checking out the
establishments and locations of interest. Take note that some areas of the
city are inaccessible due to construction. The description of the
activities you can do in each establishment will be listed below.

[LS1]==South Boulevard==

[LC1]-Restaurant Le Nah-
This is located to the right of the city entrance, right before you reach
the blacked out part of the city. They offer a Double Battle meal which
will pit you into three Double Battles in a row. You also have to win each
battle within the number of turns they specify. This battle costs p3000. To
know more about the battle lineup, refer to this link.

After completing the three-course meal, you'll also obtain Tiny Mushrooms,
compliments of the restaurant.

[LC2]-Cafe Introversion-
As the name of the cafe suggests, this is supposedly a hang out of shy
people. There is nothing to do here but you can learn more about Poke Miles
you collected. You have to go to the Pokemon Center in the same street to
find a specific man that will help you utilize this feature.

[LC3]-Lumiose Transportation Office-
This is the unmarked building in front of Cafe Introversion in South
Boulevard. This is where you can utilize the city's transportation services
like the Gogoat, Lumi Cab and TMV. Unfortunately, these services are
temporary put to a halt because of the blackout the city is currently
experiencing. The second floor of the office has more people but nothing of
interest as of the moment.

[LC4]-Pokemon Center-
Aside from the normal functions you expect from a Pokemon Center, there's a
man in the right side of the center where you can trade your earned Poke
Miles for prizes. Poke Miles are earned whenever you trade Pokemon or pass
by people. The Miles you can get will depend on the distance between two
regions registered on the Nintendo 3DS Systems. You can also collect a bit
of miles by walking around in the Kalos Region. You can check your current
miles in your trainer card.

[LC5]-PR Video Studio-
This is where you can create your own Promotional Video. (See PR Video)
Here you can create your own 10 second promotional video. As soon as you
enter, the guy on the left desk will give you three default options for
your PR video. Select what you wish and you'll see a preview of it. After
that, you'll be asked whether you want to have it shared to your PSS or
not. If you wish to retake the video, you can talk to the same guy again.
You have three slots for your PR video.

Should you wish to create your own PR vid, you can select “Shoot New”
and “Create by yourself”. You can also select a pokemon in your current
party and cast it in your PR vid. For more about creating hour own PR vid,
see the Basics section of this guide. Before leaving, talk to the
pink-haired lady near the green screen to receive a Lens Case.

[LC6]-Coiffure Clips-
This is the salon where you can change your hairstyle and hair color. The
rates of their services are as follows:
Styling and color: 3000
Styling only: 1500
Color only: 2000

[LC7]-Cafe Soleil-
You'll find your rival waiting for you outside this cafe. Approach her and
follow her inside the cafe for a scene. After the scene, you can leave the
cafe and continue checking the city out.

[LC8]-Shutterbug Cafe-
This is yet another cafe found beside Cafe Soleil. The kid will give you
tips on how to operate a camera and the backpacker guy will give you a Wide
Lens if you've done your first photo shot. (There's a Photo Shop location
in Aquacorde Town and Parfum Palace. ) Otherwise, talking to him won't
yield anything.

[LC9]-Poke Ball Research Center-
This is the building across the Shutterbug Cafe. Talk to the girl sitting
on the couch to the left to get a Quick Claw. Take the elevator to the
second floor then talk to the researchers to the far right to receive x3
Timer Balls and x3 Quick Balls.

[LS2]==Vernal Avenue==
[LC10]-Boutique Couture-
Unfortunately, you may be turned down upon entering this boutique for the
reason that you're not stylish enough. If that happens, don't fret; just
don't mind it for the meantime and check out the other areas the city has
to offer.

[LC11]-Stone Emporium-
This shop sells a small number of stones. (Fire Stone, Water Stone, Leaf
Stone). There's an old guy here that will offer a Mega Stone for 1M. Don't
believe him though since this offer is impossible to attain.

[LC12]-Herboriste-
This shop sells herbal medicines. They are expensive but their effects are
very potent. However, you may lose friendship to your pokemon due to herbs'
bad taste. You may want to stock up some of them later on once you have a
lot of cash to spare. But as of this moment, I suggest saving your money.

[LC13]-Friseur Furfrou-
This is a grooming shop for Furfrou owners. You can catch one in the next
route (Route 5). There are a lot of styles to choose from.

[LC14]-Cafe Woof-
This is a cafe especially catering to Furfrou admirers. There's nothing
important to do here.

Once you’re done with your business here, head to the other exit of the
city. This is located in front of the salon and the large billboard. On
your way out, one of your friends will contact you through the Holo Caster.
On your way out of the city, Mr. Bonding will talk to you to introduce you
about O-Powers. You’ll receive Attack Power and Defense Power from him
too.

*Minun only appears in a Horde of Plusles.

After exiting, a Lucario will approach you. Its trainer will come following
after. She’ll introduce herself as Korrina, the Shalour City Gym leader.
She’ll leave shortly and you’ll be free again to roam again.

Start off by entering the skate park nearby then ride the railing on the
upper right to reach the Super Potion outside the skate park’s fence. To
ride the railing, approach it from the left side while skating. There's
also a Paralyze Heal hidden in the middle of the skating park though you
might need to come back for it later once you have the Dowsing Machine if
you're having problems finding it. You’ll find the first double-battle
challengers past the stairs to the left.

-=Twin Faith and Joy (Prize Money: 352)=-
LV11 Plusle (electric)
LV11 Minun (electric)

After defeating the twin, go to the grassy area then go to the right then
south. You should find a Great Ball on the side of the hill. From there,
continue west and you’ll find Trevor and Tierno. After a short while,
he’ll challenge you to a battle.

-=Pokemon Trainer Tierno(Prize Money: 1200)=-
LV12 Corphish (water)

After defeating Tierno, Trevor will give you Honey x3. This item can be
used to attract pokemon hordes. Go past them then follow the path west then
north. There’s another trainer you can fight along the way.

-=Rising Star Hamish (Prize Money: 780)=-
LV13 Kadabra (psychic)

Head north past Hamish then examine the rock before the railing to get a
hidden Super Potion.

Next, ride the railing again to reach the Super Potion downhill. Go around
the skate park and backtrack your path again. Continue uphill to the west
then south until you find some stairs. If you go past the stairs and
continue south, you’ll find a railing that lets you go downhill faster
and will take you to a shortcut. There’s an Oran Berry Tree there that
occasionally drops berries.

Ignore it for now and continue west. There will be two roller skater
trainers nearby that you can fight.

-=Roller Skater Winnie (Prize Money:352)=-
LV9 Bunnelby (normal)
LV9 Skiddo (grass)

-=Roller Skater Florin (Prize Money:384)=-
LV12 Duduo (normal/flying)

After defeating Florin, ride the rail to the north to reach the western
side of the flower field. Next, ride another rail again to the south and it
will lead you to yellow pokeball containing TM01 Hone Claws. Jump over the
ledge to the south and take on the trainer to the right.

-=Rising Star Tyson (Prize Money:600)=-
LV12 Bidoof (normal)
LV10 Oddish (grass/poison)

From Tyson’s location, go south through the flower field and you’ll
find an X Attack near the corner. Go downstairs south and you’ll
encounter yet another pokemon trainer.

-=Backpacker Heike (Prize Money:480)=-
LV12 Sentret (normal)

Continue south to fight another trainer walking around the grass.

-=Youngster Keita (Prize Money:288)=-
LV12 Pansage (grass)

There are two paths here blocked by thorns. You have to come back later
once you have acquired and taught HM01 Cut to a pokemon. You can use it to
cut down the thorns. The upper path leads to a Sharp Beak and the lower
path just leads to a youngster trainer.

-=Youngster Anthony (Prize Money:240)=-
LV10 Carvanha (water/dark)
LV10 Pancham (fighting)

Keep following the path and you’ll eventually reach Camphrier Town. As
soon as you enter, you’ll receive a Holo Clip. After that, it’s time to
explore this new town.

--------------------------------------------
[c11] - Camphrier Town
--------------------------------------------
=In this town:=
-Pokemon Center
-Cassius’ House
-Hotel Camphrier
-Shabboneau Castle

You should visit the pokemon center first, located to the immediate south
of the town’s exit to Route 5. Before heading inside, talk to the man
outside to receive an Ultra Ball. Inside the pokemon center, you can find
the Name Rater standing on the eastern side. The Poke Mart here is not
selling outside the ordinary.

Enter the house to the north of the pokemon center and talk to the guy to
learn that he’s managing the boxes that stores your pokemon. This will
change “Someone’s PC” to Cassius’s PC. Next, talk to the girl on
the northernmost side of the wall to receive a TM46 Thief.

Exit the town to the south and follow the small path to find a Star Piece
at the end of the path. Backtrack to the town and go left a bit to find
Hotel Camphrier. Head inside and talk to the guy to the left of the lobby
to get a Full Heal.

Go upstairs and depending on the day, you may find a lady with an orange
cap in the second that will give the first pokemon in your party a ribbon.
It seems that she’s also changing hotels everyday but it seems that
she’ll always have a reservation in the second room - similar to Mr.
Bonding who you can find in the third room. Go to the third room to find
Mr. Bonding. He will give you another O-Power which is Sp. Atk Power LV1.

Head outside and go to the town plaza fountain. From there, talk to the
orange-haired lady to the left to get a Berry Juice. Head west towards the
exit (the man won’t let you leave without you visiting the castle first)
so jump over the small ledge to the south to find an X-Attack.

There’s a man inside the house northwest of the fountain who’s looking
for a specific type of pokemon. This is a daily event and the Pokemon type
he wants to see changes daily. Show him the type he wants to see for a day
(dual-types count either way) to receive a berry of your choice. Talk to
the maid working on the kitchen to get a Sweet Heart. This is also a daily
event and you can get one Sweet Heart per day. This is the only way to
obtain this item in the game. Leave the house and enter the castle north of
the town.

You’ll find Shauna already inside. After a brief conversation, Shauna
will suggest going to Route 7. You have to explore the castle first so go
either to the left or right sides then go upstairs. Go south to find an
Escape Rope behind the table. Unfortunately, that’s the only item in the
castle for now so leave the place and exit the town to the west.

/Hidden Items/
These items can be easily detected using the Dowsing Machine. You can still
get these hidden items without the machine.

Antidote: Check the plant northwest of the fountain.

Ether: Exit to the south and check the bush at the end of the path.

--------------------------------------------
[c12] - Route 7 - Reviere Walk (Part 1)
--------------------------------------------
Head west past the split in the road then go south to reach a different
area. Approach the kid and her grandfather and he’ll leave his Berry
field to your care. He’ll also give you a tutorial on how to plant and
take care of your berries. You’ll receive x5 Oran and x5 Pecha Berries
from him as well. To water the berries, you’ll get the Sprinklotad.

You’ll have some free fields where you can plant the berries you got.
There are also two composters to the northwest and southeast portions of
the field where you compost three berries and turn them into mulch. This
mulch will act as a fertilizer needed for the berries to grow faster.

Check the southwest corner of the field as well to get a Miracle Seed. If
you have questions about berry farming and using the composter, you can
talk to the old man and his granddaughter in their house in the northeast
corner of the field.

Later in the game once the trees have grown, you’ll also have to remove
the weeds and even encounter wild pokemon. You’ll know if there’s a
wild pokemon living in your tree when it’s shaking. Leave the field when
you’re done.

Continue west and you’ll find a Snorlax sleeping on the bridge. You’ll
need the Poke Flute to wake up Snorlax. Your next destination is the Parfum
Palace past Route 6. Backtrack to the split in the road then take the upper
left road to Route 6.

*Audino and Venipede may jump on you from the bushes along the middle path.

The central path is a straight path with a couple of pokemon trainers along
the way. Before moving forth, check the small path to the left to find an X
Sp. Atk.

-=Tourist Hiroko (Prize Money: 880)=-
LV11 Pikachu (electric)
LV11 Pidgey (normal / flying)
LV11 Psyduck (water)

-=Tourist Eriko (Prize Money: 880)=-
LV11 Zigzagoon (normal)
LV11 Gulpin (poison)
LV11 Ralts (psychic/fairy)

After defeating the two tourists, continue ahead to reach the Parfum
Palace. Before exploring the place, there are two different paths to the
left and right that will lead back to either side of Route 6 with very tall
grass. Let’s take the left path first.

=(western side of Route 6)=

You’ll find a couple of trainers waiting for you as soon as you enter the
western side of Route 6. They’ll engage you in a double battle.

-=Poke Fan Family Jan and Erin (Prize Money: 2,240)=-
LV14 Furfrou (M) (normal)
LV14 Furfrou (F) (normal)

The tall grasses here have a really high encounter rate so you may want to
walk along the cleared pathway if you want to avoid wild pokemon. Walk a
bit to the south and follow the cleared path. Another trainer will engage
you.

-=Beauty Bridgette (Prize Money: 960)=-
LV12 Espurr (Psychic)
LV12 Butterfree (Bug/Flying)

Head west next and you should see a narrow path uphill that leads to a
Super Repel. From there, head to the east and find a clearing there that
has an Awakening.

Go south then make your way to the southwest to find an Aguav Tree. Pick up
an Aguav Berry in front of the tree. Continue further south and you’ll
find a youngster trainer.

-=Youngster Tyler (Prize Money: 288)=-
LV12 Venipede (bug/poison)
LV12 Scraggy (dark/fighting)

To the southeast portion near the path leading to the main road is a
trainer hidden in the grass. After taking him out, continue west and
you’ll find an Ultra Ball in the corner.

-=Backpacker Roderick (Prize Money: 560)=-
LV14 Bunnelby (normal)

Make your way to the southeast and jump over the ledges that will lead you
back to Route 6’s main road. Head to Parfum Palace again then go to the
right. Take the southern path again to reach the eastern side of Route 6.

=(eastern side of Route 6)=

As soon as you enter the area, follow the short cleared pathway to the
southeast to find an Antidote at the end. Head to the west this time and
you’ll fight a trainer that’s hiding in the grass again.

-=Backpacker Jerome (Prize Money: 560)=-
LV14 Fletchling (normal/flying)

Continue west then after the corner, go through the tall grass all the way
to the west to find a clearing that has a X Speed. Go back to the pathway
and follow it south. Another hiding trainer will challenge you halfway and
another one in the corner of the path a short walk to the west.

-=Tourist Takemi (Prize Money: 1,008)=-
LV14 Volbeat (bug)

-=Tourist Mari (Prize Money: 1,008)=-
LV14 Illumise (bug)

After defeating Mari, jump over the ledge then follow the path until you
see a yellow pokeball on a ledge to the left. Pick it up to get TM09
Venoshock. After getting the T M, do not jump over the ledge; instead,
backtrack and go to the east this time.

If you follow the narrow cleared pathway, you should locate a clearing near
the edge of the grassland to the northeast that has a Paralyze Heal there.
In the split of the paths leading to the clearance lies another trainer
will challenge you from the grass.

-=Youngster Jacob (Prize Money: 312)=-
LV11 Croagunk (poison/fighting)
LV13 Beedrill (bug/poison)

You’re done in this area so you just need to return to the main path
again and check out Parfum Palace to continue with the story.

--------------------------------------------
[c14] - Parfum Palace
--------------------------------------------
Talk to the woman near the exit to get a free Oran Berry. There’s an
Ether in the leftmost corner outside the palace fence.

There’s also a photo shot location here. Examine the camera signboard in
the southeast portion of the area to call Phil the Photo Guy over. You can
take photo of your in front of the Palace gates. While you’re at it, you
can also play around with the camera controls.

Once ready, approach the gate and the butler will talk to you. He will ask
for P1,000 entrance fee. After paying, you and Shauna will be allowed
inside. Go straight to the palace’s giant door and enter. As soon as you
get inside, you’ll learn about the missing Furfrou. Shauna will suggest
looking for it.

The first door to the left has a master bedroom that you can sleep on to
recover your pokemon’s health. Head to the second floor for now and you
should find an Amulet Coin inside the room nearest to the western stairs.
This item can be held by a pokemon that doubles the prize money received
from battles, i the pokemon holding it takes part in the battle. Equip it
to the pokemon you're frequently using for now, to boost your earnings.
Aside from that, there’s nothing else to do inside the palace so head
back to the first floor and exit to the courtyard.

The courtyard’s really large but it’s divided into four main gardens.
Starting from the statue of Reshiram in the middle, check out the garden to
the northwest. If you talk to the gardener, he’ll mention that HM01 Cut
is located nearby. You should immediately see the yellow pokeball while
talking to him so pick it up to get HM01 Cut. Teach it immediately to a
non-essential pokemon. While inside the same garden, head to the northwest
to find a Super Potion.

Next, check out the other garden northeast of the Reshiram statue. You can
find an Antidote in the middle there. The garden northeast of the giant
fountain in the middle is empty but there’s a Revive hidden among the
bushes in the middle-eastern side of the garden.

Finally, check the last garden northwest of the fountain to find the
missing Furfrou. Before approaching it, you may want to get the Guard Spec
in the corner, outside the garden. Once ready, approach the Furfrou. It
will run away but Shauna will arrive shortly and will assist you in
cornering it. Shauna will follow you and you need to talk to her to tell
her where to stand and block Furfrou’s path. You can only instruct Shauna
to wait in the intersecting parts of the garden.

Your main goal is to drive Furfrou to the upper path. Once you’ve driven
him to the either of the northeast or northwest corners, have Shauna stand
on the opposite side then chase Furfrou to drive him in the corner in the
middle of the garden. Furfrou’s owner will arrive shortly and will invite
you to the second floor balcony.

Head back to the palace and head to the second floor balcony using any of
the stairs. Talk to Shauna to watch the fireworks together. After the show,
the owner and the butler will arrive. Ask them about the Poke Flute. After
receiving the flute, the butler will also give you TM17 Protect. Make your
way back to Route 7 to use the Poke Flute on Snorlax.

/Hidden Items/
These items can be easily detected using the Dowsing Machine that you'll
get bit later. You can still get these hidden items without it .

(Courtyard)
Rare Candy: North side of the fountain
Pretty Wing: NE garden, one of the small bushes to the middle-left side
X Sp. Atk: SW garden, open space in the middle-left side

Once you’re back in Route 7, you can go back and check your berry field
to pull out some weeds and plant some new ones. Once ready, go to the
bridge and hand over the flute. Be ready to fight Snorlax once it wakes up.
This Snorlax is wild so be ready to weaken it and capture it. Take note
that it will be a challenge capturing Snorlax so you have to weaken it and
inflict a status condition and even use one of your special pokeballs
(Timer Ball for example) to capture him successfully.

After getting Snorlax out of the way, follow the not-so-obvious path to the
north of the bridge to find a Heal Ball.

Continue to the west and you’ll find Tierno and Trevor. They’ll invite
you to the Pokemon Day Care Center. Here, you can leave up to two pokemon
to grow or if the conditions are met, breed. To know more about breeding,
you can check out this page in our Basics section of the guide. You can
withdraw the pokemon you left later on and you have to pay the price of how
much your pokemon has grown during their stay in the Day Care Center.

Once you’re done, continue heading west a painter pokemon trainer will
challenge you into a battle.

-=Artist Georgia (Prize money: 896)=-
LV16 Smeargle (normal)

Head to the west a bit then obtain the X Sp. Def item to the south of the
purple/yellow flower fields. If you return to the main road, there is a
couple of trainers that you can engage in a double battle.

-=Artist Family Mona and Paolo (Prize money: 1,792)=-

LV16 Smeargle (normal)

Continuing south will eventually lead you to the Battle Chateau. Enter the
building and you’ll find Viola inside. During this event, you’ll obtain
the title of “Baron” (male) or “Baroness”. The butler can tell you
more information about the chateau while the maid can provide more
information about Writs.

Writs are invitations you send out to trainers. The Writ of Invitation will
cause a greater frequency of trainers arriving at the chateau. The Writ of
Challenge will cause more motivated players to arrive. Each Writ cause
P50,000 each.

You can check the rooms and talk to the other nobility inside to challenge
them into battle. As you keep defeating the barons and baronesses inside,
new nobilities will arrive in the chateau and even your own rank will
increase as well.

Baroness Renee (Prize money: 3,000)
LV15 Scatterbug (bug)

Baroness Francine (Prize money: 1,800)
LV15 Flabebe (fairy)

Baron Herisson (Prize money: 1,800)

LV15 Burmy (grass)

Baron Orvault (Prize money: 1,800)
LV15 Psyduck (water)

Baroness Camille (Prize money: 960)
LV15 Bidoof (normal)

After defeating all trainers inside, your rank will be upgraded to Viscount
/ Viscountess. The cash prize you earned from the last battles should
provide a good boost to your funds, especially if you used a pokemon
holding an Amulet Coin all throughout the battles. Head west and battle
another artist along the way.

-=Artist Pierre (Prize money: 896)=-
LV16 Smeargle (normal)

After winning the battle, continue west to find your rival. He/She will
invite your and the others for a double-battle. You can fight along with
your rival against Tierno and Trevor.

-=Pokemon Trainer Tierno and Trevor (Prize money: 3,000)=-
LV14 Pikachu (electric)
LV14 Flabebe (fairy)
LV16 Corphish (water)

After the battle, go south a bit to find a PP Up. Next, head west to find a
new phot shot location. Take a picture of yourself in this location if you
want to. There's also the Connecting Cave – Zubat Roost entrance nearby.
This is a shortcut that leads to Cyllage City.

You don't need to go there for now so head south then take the stairs to
the left. Cut down the thorn blocking the narrow path on the ledge's edge
then follow it to find a Silver Powder. This is an item to be held by a
Pokemon that boosts the power of Bug-type moves.

Go to the grassland to the south then check the southwest corner to find a
Tiny Mushroom and a Persim Berry. You can go back to your Berry Field to
plant this if you want. When ready, enter the second entrance to the cave,
this time leading to Ambrette Town.

*The Zangooses in this horde will gang up on the lone Seviper until it
faints. Unfortunately, you have to defeat the Zangooses before Seviper
faints if you want to capture it.

Go downstairs to the left and you’ll be greeted by Sina and Dexio. They
will upgrade your Pokedex and add Coastal Kalos in it.

Next, head left then follow the dirt road to the south. Jump over the
ledges and you should be able to pick up the HP UP before jumping again to
the last ledge leading east.

You can find a trainer in the grassland to the south, near the edge of the
cliff.

-=Rising Star Paulette (Prize Money: 1140)=-
L19 Axew (Dragon)

Continue south and you'll find a boulder. This can only be pushed to the
hole using HM04 Strength. It leads to a Water Stone. Just take note of its
location and remember to come back for it later. Go upstairs to the right
and fight/avoid another trainer.

-=Rising Star Rhys (Prize Money: 1,020)=-
LV15 Pancham (fighting)
LV17 Goldeen (water)
LV16 Skiddo (grass)

Continue forth and take the path to the left to find a lone trainer in the
cliff. There's also a hidden Escape Rope along the edges of the cliff past
this black belt trainer.

-=Black Belt Cadoc (Prize Money: 960)=-
LV20 Machop (fighting)

Go south to the grassland and hop on the rocks in the middle, heading to
the right to find a Leaf Stone.

From there, keep heading south to reach Ambrette Town.

--------------------------------------------
[c17] - Ambrette Town
--------------------------------------------
=In this town:=
-Pokemon Center
-Ambrette Aquarium
-Fossil Lab
-Hotel Ambrette

Before heading downstairs, Calem or Serena will talk to you and inform you
to visit the Fossil Lab to know more about the fossils. Go downstairs and
follow the narrow path beside the pokemon center. This will lead you to a
Heart Scale.

Backtrack and talk to the lady outside the aquarium and pokemon center to
get TM94 Rock Smash. This move will allow you to break down cracked rocks
scattered anywhere. Cracked rocks randomly contain items, fossils or even
uncommon wild pokemon that can only be encountered by breaking the rocks
where they hide.

Enter the aquarium and go downstairs to the left. Talk to the fisherman in
front of the magikarp statue to get an Old Rod. If you exit through the
aquarium, you’ll be in the continuation of Route 8. We don’t need to go
there for now so exit the aquarium back into town proper.

Walk a bit to the south of the aquarium and talk to the guy in a leather
jacket. He’ll offer to trade his Dive Ball for a Poke Ball. He will also
mention that you can trade again the next day. Enter the house across the
Fossil Lab and talk to the woman there. This is a daily event where she'll
ask you to show her a Pokemon with a speed above the value she requires.
You don't have to show her the actual pokemon itself - as long as a Pokemon
in your party exceeds / meets her expectations, she'll be satisfied. You'll
obtain a Wing item. This is a consumable item that raises your Pokemon's EV
point. To know the different Wings that you can get from her and their
effects, please refer to this link.

Enter the Fossil Lab next. Continue to the right side of the room. Your
neighbor will join up with you and talk with the researchers. Your next
destination will be Glittering Cave.

From the Fossil Lab, go downstairs to the south to find Hotel Ambrette. If
you sit on the bench, your camera will give you a different view, revealing
an item on the beach below. There's also a hidden X-Attack in front of the
hotel, in the southwest corner, near the edge of the cliff.

Enter the hotel and talk to the woman to the right side of the first floor.
You’ll receive TM96 Nature Power from her. Head to the second and
depending on the day, you may find a lady with an orange cap in the second
that will give the first pokemon in your party a ribbon. It seems that
she’s also changing hotels everyday but it seems that she’ll always
have a reservation in the second room - similar to Mr. Bonding who you can
find in the third room. Proceed to the last room to the right to find Mr.
Bonding. You’ll get the Sp. Def Power from him.

Enter the transition building to the right of the Fossil Lab and talk to
the woman near the chairs to get a Rocky Helmet. Continue east to exit to
Route 9.

(After exploring the Glittering Cave and getting the fossil of your choice
from the researcher)

Head to the Fossil Lab and talk to the researcher in the counter to restore
the fossil he gave you earlier. Once done, you need to head to the next
town to challenge the gym leader. Enter the Ambrette Aquarium and go
downstairs. Use the exit there to reach the second part of Route 8.

There's a Rhyhorn waiting for you outside so just hop on it and use it to
navigate the area. You'll still encounter wild pokemon randomly while
riding the Rhyhorn. When you encounter rock boulders, you just need to
press A to have Rhyhorn destroy them. After destroying the first boulders
along the way, destroy the next one that's blocking the stairs. Get off the
and pick up X-Defense.

Continue ahead and once you've reached the split in the path, go to the
right first and destroy another boulder blocking some stairs. Get off and
pick up a Paralyze Heal. Before leaving, take the narrow path south of the
stairs and follow it to reach a Fire Stone.

Return to the main path and destroy more boulders. Go past the NPC on the
left and continue to the right side. Destroy the boulder there and
disembark from your rhyhorn. Follow the path south to find a Dusk Ball.
There's also a Sky Trainer here that you can challenge, provided that you
have a pokemon that's capable of flying. (Not just limited to Flying Types)

-=Sky Trainer Orion (Prize Money: 2,100)=-
LV21 Ledian

Backtrack and talk to the lady in red to heal your pokemon back to full
health. Check the rock northeast of that NPC to find a Super Repel. When
ready, enter the Glittering Cave.

The encounters here are represented by dark spots along the path. Continue
straight ahead and ignore the path to the right as it leads to a dead end
only. You'll encounter the second split in the path after turning in the
corner. Take the path to the left and you'll find a Hard Stone in the end
of the path. Backtrack to the split and continue forth.

You'll encounter the third split after a short walk. Take the path to the
left and you'll find the TM65 Shadow Claw in the end of the path. Return to
the main path and continue until you reach the mine-like area of the cave.
A sketchy man will confront you and reveal that he's a member of Team
Flare. Answer No to his question to engage him in battle.

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: 720)=-
LV18 Houndoor
LV18 Zubat (poison/flying)

There are rocks lying around where you can use Rock Smash. There are some
items, wild pokemon and even fossils that can be found when you break the
rocks. You can also get fossils here that can be restored as pokemon. Since
breaking rocks gives you a random reward or encounter, it will be best to
clear the area first, save your game then start breaking the rocks. For
now, it seems you can only get Old Amber fossil which contains an
Aerodactyl.

Continue to the right and you'll encounter another Team Flare member.

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: 720)=-
LV18 Gulpin (poison)
LV18 Electrike

Continue following the path and you'll find a couple more Team Flare grunts
along the way. Your good neighbor Calem / Serena will come to the rescue
and team up with you.

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: 1600)=-
LV20 Scraggy
LV20 Croagunk

Follow the path and grab the Escape Rope along the way. Talk to the
researcher and your neighbor will join up with you. He'll give one of the
two fossils for you. Choose whether you want a Jaw Fossile or Sail Fossil.
The Jaw Fossil will give you Tyrunt (Rock/ Dragon) while the Sail Fossil
will give you Amaura (Rock/ Ice). You can only choose one per save. After
getting the fossil, use the Escape Rope to easily return to the cave's
entrance

* These Pokémon can only be encountered by smashing cracked rocks.

This is the other part of Route 8 which takes you to the coastal area.
Start by going to the beach and heading northwest to find a Mago Tree. Pick
up the Mago Berry on the ground. Since you have the Old Rod, you can start
fishing for some new water-type pokemon.

Head to the right and the girl in bikini will give you a Dowsing Machine.
Use it from your Bag's Key Items tab and follow the direction of the rods
until they turn red and beep. For starters, check the corner shore
southwest of the swimmer to find a Pearl. Head south a bit and you can get
an Ultra Ball from a boulder southeast of the tree.

There's also a Stardust hidden in the sand southwest of the berry tree.
Walk a bit to the south along the shore to find a Heart Scale. That's the
hidden items in this immediate area for now.

Next, go back south to the stairs leading back to Ambrette City then take
the path to the west along the shore. This will bring you to the beach
south of the city. Use the dowsing machine to find the Rare Candy on the
shore. Get the Pearl in the far right afterward as well.

Backtrack to the northern coast and continue forth. You'll find your first
challenger trainer after passing through the overhead cliff.

-=Swimmer Genevieve (Prize Money: 336)=-
LV19 Wingull (water/flying)
LV21 Psyduck (water)

Before moving on, face the rocky cliff to the east and look for the little
nook behind the fisherman. Approach it and a Sky Trainer from the ledge
above will challenge you.

-=Sky Trainer Aveza (Prize Money: 2,200)=-
LV19 Skiploom (grass/flying)
LV22 Swoobat (poison/flying)

Talk to the fisherman nearby to challenge him to a battle.

Fisherman Wharton (Prize Money: 1,064)
LV19 Tentacool (water/poison)
LV19 Tentacool (water/poison)
LV19 Tentacool (water/poison)

Talk to the next fisherman up north to challenge him to a battle.

Fisherman Shad (Prize Money: 1,120)
LV20 Shellder (water)
LV20 Staryu (water)

To his northeast is a walking swimmer. Challenge her to a battle as well if
you want.

-=Swimmer Marisa (Prize Money: 352)=-
LV22 Masquerain (bug/flying)

Continue walking a few more steps and you'll shortly reach Cyllage City.

--------------------------------------------
[c21] - Cyllage City
--------------------------------------------
=In this city:=
-Pokemon Center
-Bicycle Shop
-Pokemon Massage (Unmarked house)
-Hotel Cyllage
-Fashion Boutique
-Pokemon Cafe
-Cyllage City Gym

After reaching the city from Route 8, enter the house to the northeast side
and talk to man in the corner to receive a Whipped Dream. This can be held
by a Swirlix to make them evolve when traded. Leave the house and use your
dowsing machine. Check the lone rock in the corner northwest of the house
to get an Ether.

Head inside the pokemon center to restore your pokemon's health. The poke
mart also sells three special poke balls. You may want to get a few of
these if you have the cash to spare. There's also a guy inside that will
trade his Steelix for a Luvdisc. The latter is just a common water pokemon
you can catch from the nearby coast using your Old Rod.

You can visit the house beside the pokemon center and have the nice lady
inside to massage your lead pokemon. This will make it more friendly
towards you and can be done once a day.

Next, enter the bicycle shop to the right of the pokemon center. The
shopkeeper will inform you that you're the runner up of their bicycle
giveaway promo so you just need to answer a very easy question. You'll
receive a bike and you'll receive either green or yellow, depending on your
choice.

To the north of the bicycle shop is a lady that sells Soda Pops for P300 a
piece. These can heal 60 HP to your pokemon, making them very
cost-effective compared to the usual potions of the same price. You can one
or a dozen if you want.

From her location, go to the left and enter the house near the lamp post
and talk to the sitting girl. She'll give you a quiz:
What berry cures confusion? : Persim Berries
The move Swagger increases attack but causes what condition?: Confusion

You'll receive Persim Berries as reward for answering the questions
correctly. The girl will also give you a basic Double-battle tip.

There's a boutique along the main street north of the bicycle shop and
pokemon center. Here you'll find new fashion items and accessories.

Next, enter Hotel Cyllage and talk to the guy sitting on the left side of
the room to get TM44 Rest. Talk to the woman beside him to get TM88 Sleep
Talk.

Head to the second floor of the hotel and talk to the maid to get a Destiny
Knot. Enter the far-end room to the right to find Mr. Bonding. Talk to him
to receive the O-Power Prize Money Power.

There's a Pokemon Cafe where you can show off your pokemon but you'll have
to pay depending on where you sit. You can talk to the patrons there to add
more entries to your pokedex. From there, head to the north and use your
dowsing machine near the biker. You'll find an X Speed on the ground right
beside him.

If you check the shallow sand bar to the west of the city and use your
dowsing machine there, you'll find a Pearl in a rock in the corner of a
small sand bar.

Head to the east to find a Super Potion behind some benches. Follow the
uphill road to the east and you'll be stopped along the way by Grant, the
city's gym leader who will give you HM04 Strength.

Continue south and don't enter the gym yet. Use your dowsing machine and
check the rock in the corner near the edge of the cliff to get a Protein.
Next, go to the west and slide down. Grab the X Defense then slide down
again to return to ground level.

Follow the uphill road again but this time continue to the highest level
and folow it north until you reach a slope with an arrow signs. Slide down
carefully then get off your bike/ rollerblades. Use the directional keys to
avoid sliding accidentally and nab the X Sp. Atk.

You can go ahead and challenge the city gym leader now. Prepare your best
water, grass, fighting, ground or steel pokemon to conquer the gym.

--------------------------------------------
[c22] - Cyllage City Gym
--------------------------------------------
You have to climb the walls to reach the trainers and the gym leader. There
are two trainers that you can avoid but I'll suggest against it since you
won't be able to fight them again after defeating the gym leader. Besides,
the experience and cash prize will go to waste if you bypass them.

The first trainer is located in the eastern side of the tower.

-=Rising Star Didier (Prize Money: P1,380)=-
LV21 Dwebble
LV23 Relicanth

After defeating Didier, climb the wall directly behind him then climb down
on the next ledge. Follow the path and climb the next wall if you want to
challenge one of the gym trainers there.

-=Hiker Craig (Prize Money: P1,344)=-
LV24 Roggenrola

Get back on the main ledge and follow it to the back where another trainer
is waiting for you.

-=Rising Star Manon (Prize Money: P1,320)=-
LV22 Solrock
LV22 Lunatone

Climb to the next ledge and continue to meet up with the next gym trainer.

-=Hiker Bernard (Prize Money: P1,176)=-
LV21 Rhyhorn
LV21 Nosepass
LV21 Onix

Continue to the top and you'll finally face the gym leader.

-==Gym Leader Grant (Prize Money: P4,000)==-
LV25 Amaura
LV25 Tyrunt

Rewards:
Cliff Badge
TM39 Rock Tomb

After defeating Cliff, climb down using the narrow wall on the left side
then slide down to the ground floor.

Heal up your pokemon and before moving on to the next route, it will help
you clearing the second part of the Connecting Cave. You can find the
entrance on the topmost road. Teach Strength to a pokemon you're planning
to use temporarily so you can navigate the cave.

===Connecting Cave – Zubat Roost===

Use Strength to push the boulder to the gap and for you to reach TM40
Aerial Ace. Follow the path to the south then go to the right to find a
trapped hiker. Talk to him to receive TM21 Frustration.

Push the boulder to create a path then head south to find another boulder.
This should close the gap and make the both sides of the cave accessible.
Backtrack a bit then go to the right. A trainer will challenge you in to
battle.

-=Pokemon Breeder Mercy (Prize Money: P768)=-
LV12 Ducklett
LV12 Pikachu
LV12 Oddish
LV12 Litleo

With Route 7 connected conveniently, you may want to check your pokemon
that you left in the Day Care Center battle some trainers in the Battle
Chateau or even tend to your berry farm. When you’re ready, head back to
Cyllage City and head north to Route 10.

There’s a hidden Revive on the rocks to the lower left portion of the

Continue to the left and you’ll encounter the first trainer as the road

LV19 Azumarill (water/fairy)
LV19 Dunsparce(Normal)

After defeating her, continue to the next field laden with tall rocks and
scattered patches of grass. Check the lower right corner of the area to
find a Mind Plate. This is an item a pokemon can hold to boost the power of
psychic-type moves.

There’s a X Accuracy found in the middle left side of the field. Check
the middle-right corner to find a hidden Paralyze Heal. You can locate it
easily using the Dowsing Machine.

Once done, make your way to the middle path. A Team Flare Grunt will engage
you to battle.

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize money: 920)=-
LV21 Houndour (Dark/ Fire)
LV23 Golbat (Poison/Flying)

LV19 Meditite (Fighting/ Psychic)
LV21 Kirlia (Psychic/ Fairy)

After defeating this trainer, continue ahead and pick up the Thunder Stone
near the wall to the north. Backtrack a bit then find the hidden Burn Heal
in the southeast corner of the area.

As you head out, there will be more Team Flare Grunts waiting along the
way.

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize money: 840)=-
LV23 Electrike (Electric)
LV21 Croajunk (Poison/Fighting)

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize money: 960)=-

pokemon trainer.

-=Tourist Tomoko (Prize money: 1520)=-
LV19 Drifloon (Ghost/Flying)
LV19 Hippopotas (Ground)
LV19 Pachirisu (Electric)

Finally, you’ll reach the end of the route and enter the next town.

--------------------------------------------
[c24] - Geosenge Town
--------------------------------------------
=In this town:=
-Pokemon Center
-Hotel Marine Snow
-Photo Spot

Enter the Pokemon Center and talk to the old man to the left to receive
TM66 Payback. Check out the hotel beside the pokemon center and pick up the
Timer Ball in the northwest corner of the fence to the north.

Enter the hotel and head to the second floor. You'll find Mr. Bonding again
on the third floor. Talk to him to receive the Speed Power O-power.

As you move towards the center of town, you'll spot a Team Flare Grunt
ahead. After he leaves, enter the house north of the pokemon center and
talk to the researcher inside to get an Everstone. Talk to the man inside
as well and he'll inform you to talk with the guide to learn more about the
stones in Route 10. Exit the house and go around the pokemon center and
check the southwest corner to find a Soft Sand.

You'll find the guide on the way to the middle of town. She'll invite you
to the hotel to tell you more about the stones. After that, you can leave
the hotel. There's a new photo shot location further north of the hotel.
Take a shot if you want. If you attempt to leave the town to the east,
Korrina will stop you and challenge you to a battle.

-==Leader Korrina (Prize Money: 4,000)==-
LV25 Lucario (Fighting/ Steel)
LV25 Lucario (Fighting/ Steel)

Korrina's two Lucarios shouldn't be taken lightly. It can sharply rise its
attack stats with Swords Dance and lower it's opponent's special defense by
Metal Sound. It also has an attack that will also increase its special
attack upon hitting the target. Fire, fighting and ground moves are
effective against steel. Though Flying and Psyhic moves are effective
against Fighting pokemon, Lucario's Steel-subtype will just cause these
moves to deal normal damage.

Head to the northwest portion of the map to find the same Team Flare grunt
leaving town. Your neighbor will arrive and talk to you shortly before
leaving. If you follow that path, it will just lead you to a rock structure
that you can't access at this point. After this event, just leave the town

you with its electric attacks. If you're able to get rid of Emolga, you
should watch out for Staravia's Retaliate. The bigger the damage you deal,
the higher damage will be returned to you. Yvette's last pokemon, Wingull
shouldn't be a problem defeating compared to the other two.

LV25 Helioptile(Electric/Normal)
LV24 Granbull

Continue to the right and you'll find two sets of stairs. The one to the
north is inaccessible at the moment because of a hole on the ground so you
have no choice but to go downstairs. Talk to woman below to heal your
pokemon before pressing on.

Head to the right and take on the next trainer or follow the path to the
right to get the Black Belt from the top of the rocky hill.

-=Tourist Monami (Prize Money: 1,872)=-
LV26 Nidorina(Poison)

Continue south and you'll find Tierno. He'll give you the TM70 Flash. Go
past him and continue to the right. Take the Escape Rope and go downstairs
to take on the next trainer.

-=Black Belt Igor (Prize Money: P1,344)=-
LV28 Sawk(Fighting)

Continue along the straightforward path and you'll encounter two trainers
along the way.

-=Psychic Franz (Prize Money: P1,344)=-
LV24 Chimeco(Psychic)
LV24 Golett (Ground/ Ghost)

-=Tourist Haruto (Prize Money: P1,872)=-
LV26 Nidorino(Poison)

After the last battle, continue forth and you'll find a couple staring at
the mirror. Check the narrow path to their right to find a Hyper Potion.
Talk or walk by the couple to engage them in a double-battle.

-=Honeymooners Yuu & Ami(Prize Money: P3,744)=-
LV26 Combee(Bug/Flying)
LV26 Vespiquen(Bug/Flying)

After defeating the two, go upstairs to the left and go past the trainer
first to find an Iron. Now backtrack a bit and challenge the trainer.

-=Ace Trainer Emil (Prize Money: P2,500)=-
LV26 Absol(Dark)
LV25 Pinsir(Bug)

Continue heading south a bit but try not to run to avoid sliding down the
slope and bringing you back to the previous area with the healing NPC.
Continue west and you should see an opening leading downstairs. Go down
then continue straight up until you reach the mirror wall. Take the stairs
to the right to reach the Earth Plate.

Return to the main path and head left. Walk slowly and watch out for an
opening to the south, as seen in the reflection on the wall. Head inside to
get the TM74 Gyro Ball. Exit the room to the south. The area to the left is
empty so just hop over the rock ledges to the right and go upstairs to the
right.

Make your way to the northwest exit past where you picked up the Iron
earlier. In the next room, there's a boulder you can push with a pokemon
with strength to create a shortcut. There's a hiker here that will battle
you as well.

-=Hiker Dunstan (Prize Money: P1,344)=-
LV22 Sandile(Ground/Dark)
LV24 Diggersby(Normal/Ground)
LV23 Dwebble(Bug/Rock)

After the battle, you can exit north to finally reach Shalour City.

--------------------------------------------
[c27] - Shalour City
--------------------------------------------
=In this city:=
-Pokemon Center
-Shalour City Gym
-Tower of Mastery
-Photo Shot location

Head inside the Pokemon center and you'll find Mr. Bonding on the left
side, in front of a display screen. Talk to him to receive the Critical
Power LV1 O-Power. The Pokemart sells some new TM s that may interest you
as well.

Exit the Pokemon Center and enter the house to the left, beside the
streetlamp. Talk to the old lady inside to get a Soothe Bell. Enter the
next house and talk to the guy beside the table. Show him a pokemon with
maximum happiness/ affection and he will award a Footprint Ribbon to that
pokemon.

While in the same house, talk to the woman by kitchen and she'll ask if you
have a flying or psychic pokemon with you. If you happen to have one in
your party, she'll ask for its help to get an out-of-reach luggage. You'll
get x5 Stardusts from her.

Leave the house and head to the right this time. Enter the house just past
the pokemon center and talk to the scientist in the middle. He'll check
your Coastal Pokedex and if you have enough pokemon registered, he will
give you an Eviolite. This is a mysterious item that raises the defense and
special defense of a pokemon that's holding it. However, it only works to
pokemon that can evolve but haven't finished evolving.

Exit the house. If you continue to the right, you'll reach the transition
building leading to Route 12. We don't need to go there at the moment so
head to the left and follow the main path north. Before reaching the
stairs, Tierno and Trevor will arrive. They will mention that the Mega
Evolution guru is located in the Tower of Mastery.

Go past them and go to the left. Continue upstairs and enter the first
house. There's a guy there that will trade your Sitrus Berry to a Leppa
Berry. If you only have Sitrus Berry from the last time, you may want to
cultivate and multiply it first. Exit and continue to the left to find the
city gym. Apparently, the gym leader Korrina is out, doing intensive
training in the Tower of Mastery. Before leaving, grab the hidden X Sp. Atk
behind the bench in front of the gym.

Go back downstairs and head to the beach level. Tierno will catch up with
you and give you an Intriguing Stone. You'll see the Tower of Mastery at a
distance and Tierno will tell you to go ahead.

Once he leaves, follow the path and find a hidden Stardust on a rock beside
the shore and a photo shot location.

Head to the tower but before entering, grab the Max Ether from the rocks on
the right side of the Tower's entrance. Go inside and take the stairs. Just
outside the Tower's doorsteps, check the bush on the right side to find a
hidden Max Repel. Enter the tower when ready.

Once inside, just enter the door ahead to find Korrina and the guru.
Shortly, the others will arrive and the guru himself will start talking to
the group about Mega Evolution. After leaving you and Serena (or Calem if
your character is a girl) as the top candidates to get the Mega Ring,
Serena will challenge you to a battle to prove who's worthy one.

Save your game if you want and prepare your best pokemon then speak with
her to start the battle.

-==Pokemon Trainer Serena (Prize Money: 3,000)==-
LV28 Meowstic
LV28 Absol
LV30 (Starter with type-matchup advantage over yours)

Take note that your neighbor's pokemon will depend on the starter you chose
when you started your game. Your pokemon should be higher-leveled than what
your neighbor has so this battle shouldn't be that hard. After defeating
your neighbor, the group will disperse and you'll have to challenge Korrina
in her gym. Her gym's located on the western hill, which we visited
earlier.

--------------------------------------------
[c28] - Shalour City Gym
--------------------------------------------
Korrina's gym is dominated by fighting-type pokemon. It will help bringing
in psychic and flying pokemon to get on your offensive. The arena itself is
wide and open. To completely raise the railing that will take you to the
middle platform, you have to seek out and defeat the gym trainers who are
scattered in the area. Some of them won't actively call you t o battle so
you have to talk to them in order to challenge them.

-=Roller Skater Rolanda (Prize Money: 928)=-
LV27 Sawk (Fighting)
LV29 Hariyama (Fighting)

-=Roller Skater Kate (Prize Money: 896)=-
LV28 Meditite (Psychic/Fighting)
LV28 Mienfoo (Fighting)

-=Roller Skater Dash (Prize Money: 960)=-
LV30 Heracross (Bug/ Fighting)

-=Roller Skater Shun (Prize Money: 864)=-
LV27 Pancham
LV27 Throh
LV27 Machoke

After defeating the gym trainers, the railing will be complete. You can go
back to the pokemon center to get your party healed up. When ready, just
slide over the railing to reach the central platform where Korrina will
appear to battle you.

-==Gym Leader Korrina (Prize Money: 5,120)==-
LV29 Mienfoo (Fighting)
LV28 Machoke (Fighting)
LV32 Hawlucha (Fighting /Flying)

Rewards:
Rumble Badge
Ability to use HM Surf out of the battle
TM98 Power-Up Punch

Korrina will inform you to meet up with her at the top of the Tower of
Mastery. For now, visit the Pokemon Center to heal up then proceed to the
Tower as she suggested. Once inside the tower, make your way to the ramp.
Continue heading to the top but stop by the third room. Talk to the guy
inside to get TM47 Low Sweep.

Head to the top of the tower to finally meet up with Korrina. Here, she'll
hand you over your own Mega Ring. The Lucario that has shown interest with
you during your last encounters will side with you. Korrina will then offer
a battle.

-==Successor Korrina==-
LV32 Lucario

In this battle, you'll be using your very own Lucario. A new option will be
available in your battle menu. Press the Mega Evolution option then select
an attack to transform your Lucario into a Mega Lucario. Since you'll land
the first strike, you should be able to defeat the opposing Lucario on your
next turn. After the battle, you'll have the option to bring Lucario with
you or not. After deciding, you can go down the tower and be on your way.

Head to the pokemon center and heal up. Once done, head to the right and
look for the hiker that's looking for something. Talk to him and hand over
the intriguing stone Tierno gave you earlier. The man will give you a Sun
Stone in return. Head to the city exit and your neighbor will catch up and
give you HM03 Surf. Now continue forth to reach Route 12.

Talk to the man beside the sign post and he’ll ask you to take Lapras
with you if he sees that you have the Rumble Badge. You must have an open
slot in your party to get Lapras. You can teach HM 03 Surf to it if you
don’t have a water pokemon to teach it to.

There's a hidden honey in the northeastern corner of the grassy field.
You'll find it in the only single clearing in the field. Head to the south
you should find a thorny tree blocking a small path past the small grassy
field. Cut down the tree to find an Aspear Berry tree. There are also some
new pokemon you can get from the small grass fields in this area.

After getting the berry, you can now head to the shore and use Surf.
There’s a swimmer nearby that will challenge you to battle as well.

-=Swimmer Alessandro (Prize Money: 432)=-
LV29 Qwilfish (Water/Poison)
LV27 Binacle (Rock/Water)

Since you can’t go far with Surf for now, head to the shore across and
challenge another trainer near the stairs.

-=Backpacker Joren (Prize Money: 1,120)=-
LV28 Linoone (normal)

Don’t take the stairs yet but go south instead. Follow the shore until
you reach the dead end. Pick up the hidden Net Ball in the boulder there.

Take the stairs and enter Baa de Mer Ranch. Follow the path to the left and
enter the small house. Talk to the little girl to receive TM45 Attract.

Leave the house and go around it to the north. Cut down the thorny tree and
pick up a Sachet. Leave the ranch and continue south past the flower field.
There’s a small path to the left blocked by another thorny tree. Cut it
down to obtain Leftovers. This item will gradually restore it’s
holder’s HP throughout the battle.

Head to the ranch and ride one of the available Skiddos there. Jump over
the ledge to the east of the ranch then go south. Find another ledge
leading to the west this time and follow the small path to reach a Whipped
Dream.

Head to the north this time until you find three ledges to the east that
the Skiddo can jump over. This leads to a Shiny Stone.

Now make your way all the way to the south of the plains and you'll find a
broken fence that your Skiddo can jump over. Backtrack to the main path and
head to the west. Another trainer will be waiting past the grass patch
there

-=Pokemon Breeder Amala (Prize Money: 1,856)=-
LV27 Seviper (poison)
LV29 Miltank (normal)

Continue to the right where another trainer is waiting for you.

-=Youngster Aidan (Prize Money: 648)=-
LV27 Yanma (Bug/ Flying)
LV27 Whirlipede (Bug/Poison)
LV27 Mothim (Bug/ Flying)

Follow the road as it turns to the north and you have to fight yet another
trainer there.

-=Pokemon Breeder Foster (Prize Money: 928)=-
LV27 Zangoose (Normal)
LV29 Tauros (Normal)

Continue to the beach to the north then examine the ground behind the
fisherman to find an Ice Heal. You can use the Dowsing Machine to find this
item. You can talk to the fisherman to challenge him to battle.

-=Fisherman Murray (Prize Money: 1,344)=-
Lv24 Magikarp x6 (Water)

After taking out the fisherman's poor Magikarps, use Surf again and follow
the rock walls on the left. This should lead you to shallow waters. Check
the lone boulder there to get a Water Stone.

You can continue surfing to the east then north to reach Azure Bay. Your
next destination should be Coumarine City but if you want, you can go ahead
and check Azure Bay for additional trainer battles and extra items.
Otherwise, continue to Coumarine City([c31] as intended.

Continue north and you'll reach an island with a photo spot location. Talk

Talk to the Fisherman nearby to engage him to battle.

-=Fisherman Ewan (Prize Money: 1,607)=-
LV27 Clauncher (water)
LV29 Carvanha (Water/Dark)

Step at the edge of the water to the right of the photo shot location and a
Sky Trainer will challenge you.

-=Sky Trainer Indra (Prize Money: 3,100)=-
LV31 Sigilyph (Psychic/Flying)

The opponent will use Thunder Wave to paralyze your pokemon and slow it
down before using Charge Beam to deal damage against flying-types while
having the chance to increase its Sp Attack by one stage. It will help
using a pokemon with just a flying sub-type to at least avoid bonus damage
from this attack.

Head to the east and until you reach the darker part of the water then from
there, head north until you spot a small island with a lone rock. Land
there and examine the rock to get a Star Piece. From there, head to the
left to find another grassy beach with a Big Pearl in the middle.

Head northwest from there to reach an island. Head to the northeastern part
of it to find a Splash Plate. The cave in the island (Sea Spirit's Den) is
empty at the moment and there's no hidden item inside so don't bother
checking it out.

From the island, head to the northwest past some rocks and you'll find
another barren island. Get the Dive Ball from it and walk a bit to the
north to battle a Sky Trainer.

-=Sky Trainer Elata (Prize Money: 2,900)=-
LV28 Fletchinder (Fire/Flying)
LV29 Pelipper (Water/Flying)

Fletchinder has Flame Charge that deals fire damage and increases its
speed. It also has the Acrobatics move which has a base power of 55 but
doubles to 110 if the user isn't holding an item. Pelipper in the other
hand doesn't hit that hard but it is more resilient to attacks.

Surf to the south again and you'll find another dry land. Walk to the south
and find a hidden Heart Scale in one rock near the breakable ones. Use your
dowsing machine to locate it if you need to.

Head south and use surf again. Follow the westernmost edge of the area
until you reach a narrow path past the rocks and an island, that leads to
an enclosed grassy field. Pick up the Deep Sea Tooth from there. There's
also a hidden Hyper Potion in a rock southeast of the item.

Continue to the south and you should spot another pokeball in the grass
containing a Deep Sea Scale. Head further to the south and you'll find TM81
X-Scissor. Exit the area then make your way around the secret location then
proceed to the southeast. You should find a swimmer pokemon trainer along
the way.

-=Swimmer Isla (Prize Money: 448)=-
LV28 Corsola (Water Rock)
LV28 Lanturn (Water/ Electric)

You're basically done in this area. You can now head to the next city.

--------------------------------------------
[c31] - Coumarine City
--------------------------------------------
=In this city:=
-Seaside stalls (Free daily berry, Incense merchant)
-Monorail Station
-Coumarine Hotel
-Coumarine Cape
-Pokemon Center
-Coumarine City Gym

As soon as you enter, you'll receive a holo clip from your neighbor/ rival,
challenging you to a battle in front of the gym. You'll have to go there
anyway so just save it for later and explore the city for some items and
goodies. First, head to the north to the dock. Search the top left mooring
to find a hidden Elixir. Backtrack and head to the right and enter the
house there to get a Silk Scarf. This is a held item that can boost the
power of Normal-Type moves.

Leave the house and talk to the man behind the stall to the south. He's
selling expensive but useful incenses that can be held by your pokemon and
enjoy various effects.

The next stall apparently has free berries that will be given to you
everyday. The free berry that you can get from this stall will differ every
day so be sure to check it out when you have time. Examine the free space
south of that store to find a hidden Awakening.

From the stalls, head east and talk to the fisherman to receive a Good Rod.
You can now capture better water pokemon with this. Continue to the right
and you'll find the monorail station. Enter it to find Prof. Sycamore and
Diantha. The professor will hand the HM02 Fly to you. Don't ride the
monorail for now so just leave and head to the northern path.

Enter the Coumarine Hotel and head to the left. Place a pokemon you maxed
friendliness/ affection with as your lead and talk to the girl across the
stairs. She'll give you a Lucky Egg. This item will allow the pokemon
holding it gain more experience points. Perfect for the pokemon you're
raising outside of battle via Exp Share. On the second floor, instead of
finding Mr. Bonding in the third room, you'll find the Game Director. He
mentions to have you show him the Pokedex as you fill it up.

Leave the hotel and head west until you reach the cape. There's a lone girl
there that will give you a TM by answering her random daily TM Quiz. The
answers are the following:

“It makes the target lose its ability to concentrate and lowers the
target's Sp. Atk stat.” TM100 Confide
“If the user is not holding an item, this attack inflicts massive
damage.” TM62 Acrobatics
“This move prevents the target from using its held item.” TM63 Embargo
“Slower Pokemon get to move first for five turns.” TM92 Trick Room

Return to the monorail station and talk to the woman on the counter to ride
the monorail. Talk to the man in front of the counter to receive a
Metronome. This held item increases the power if the pokemon uses the same
move over and over again. Leave the station and enter the Pokemon Center
right beside it.

The pokemart sells three different specialty balls. You may want to buy a
few of these just in case. The Ultra Ball can now be purchased from the
same shop as well. Head to the left and talk to Mr. Bonding to receive
Befriending Power. This O-power helps Pokemon grow friendly more easily.

Exit the pokemon center and check the space between the information board
and a house to the left to find a Max Repel. Head south first and enter the
the house to the right. Talk to the girl in the kitchen and she'll mimic
the sound of a pokemon you have in your party. Guess it right and you'll
obtain a Poke Toy. This is an item that will guarantee an escape from any
battle with a wild pokemon.

Head south again to reach the transition gate leading to Route 13. Talk to
the standing guy to the left to receive a Black Sludge. This is a held item
that gradually restores the HP of a poison-type pokemon while damaging any
other types holding it. Next, head north then east past the gym entrance
and to the overlook. You'll find a Sky Plate to the north, beside a bench.

Now head to the gym entrance and your neighbor will and engage you in
battle as he/she stated in the holo clip you received when you entered the
city.

-==Pokemon Trainer Serena (Prize Money: 3,300)==-
LV31 Meowstic (Psychic)
LV33 Frogadier (Water)
LV31 Absol (Normal)

Your rival/neighbor's pokemon shouldn't pose that much of a problem. Your
main party should be several levels above her team at this point. After
defeating him/her, heal up if needed then enter the gym.

--------------------------------------------
[c32] - Coumarine City Gym
--------------------------------------------
The Gym Leader is a Grass-type trainer. Bring in fire, ice or flying
pokemon with the corresponding elemental moves that will allow them to
exploit any grass-type's weaknesses. Climb the road ahead to reach the
second level. The path to the left leads to a dead end so swing to the
right where a trainer is waiting.

-=Pokemon Ranger Chaise (Prize Money: 2,560)=-
LV32 Simisage (grass)

Climb up to the next level and twice across the nets twice. Climb up to the
next level. The rope in the middle going up should be ignored since it has
nothing. Swing to the right to find an optional trainer you can fight or
avoid.

-=Pokemon Ranger Maurice (Prize Money: 2,320)=-
LV29 Ferroseed (Grass/Steel)
LV29 Lombre (Water/Grass)
LV29 Carnivine (Grass)

Go back to the previous ledge and go to the left this time. Slide down the
rope to the lower level and continue heading west. You'll find another
trainer waiting for you.

-=Pokemon Ranger Brooke (Prize Money: 2,400)=-
LV30 Roselia (Grass/Poison)
LV30 Wormadam (Bug/Grass)

Climb the rope and go up by two levels. You'll find two paths again. Swing
to the right and you'll land on the ledge with another Pokemon Ranger is
waiting.

-=Pokemon Ranger Twiggy (Prize Money: 2,480)=-
LV29 Gloom (Grass/Poison)
LV31 Exeggcutor (Grass/Psychic)

Climb up once again and continue going to the right until you find the gym
leader, Ramos.

-==Gym Leader Ramos (Prize Money: 5,440)==-
LV30 Jumpluff (Grass/Flying)
LV34 Gogoat (Grass)
LV31 Weepinbell (Grass/Poison)

Jumpluff deals considerable damage with its Acrobatics move but you should
be able to take it out in one hit by using a powerful fire attack. Gogoat
is Ramos' main pokemon, capable of dealing huge amounts of damage with
Bulldoze or Grass Knot. This damage isn't that high in case your pokemon is
strong against those attacks or better yet, they're higher-leveled than any
of the gym leader's Pokemon. Weepinbell isn't that much of a threat so just
take it out with ease.

Rewards:
Plant Badge
TM86 Grass Knot

The Plant Badge allows Pokemon up to LV60 to obey you and you can now use
Fly outside battle. You can now conveniently revisit the previous locations
you've been to quickly and easily. You can now access the day-care center,
berry farm and Battle Chateau instantly! After the battle, use the slide to
exit the gym.

Head to the south and you'll receive a Holo Clip from Lysandre. Continue to
the transition gate and you'll meet Sina and Dexio again. This time,
they'll upgrade your Pokedex to include Mountain Kalos in it. Head south
and exit to Route 13.

* These Pokémon can only be encountered by smashing cracked rocks.

Some wild pokemon burrow in the ground and will pop out at you if you're
nearby. This will get annoying in the long run since these burrowing
pokemon's movements are based on your own. If you stop moving, they won't
pursue you.

It will also be a good idea to bring up your dowsing machine as you explore
the area since there are some hidden items here as well. You should also
take note of the direction of the wind. If you're biking or rollerblading,
you'll find it difficult going against the wind. You won't have
difficulties when running though. If you're rollerblading against the
direction of the wind while grinding on the rail, you won't be able to get
across successfully since you'll be pushed off the rail. To make it easier
to give directions, let's explore the eastern side of the area first, with
the stairs leading back to the city as our midpoint marker.

Head east past the stairs to find a railing that you can grind on using
your roller blades. Head to the northeast corner to find a Smooth Rock.
This item extends the duration of the move Sandstorm when used by the
holder.

You'll find three code-locked doors to the easternmost side of the area. On
the way to the second door lies a lone rock. Examine it to get an
X-Accuracy. Somewhere nearby, to the northwest of that rock lies a hidden
Guard Spec. Use your Dowsing Machine to locate it.

If you continue to the southeast corner you'll find the third code-locked
door. There's a Flame Plate that you can get by jumping across the gap past
that door. This held item increases the power of Fire-type moves.

Backtrack to the stairs (not necessary but it will make it easier for me to
give directions) and find the hidden Nest Ball near the main path,
southwest of the stairs. Continue to the southwest past the railing and
examine the lone rock there to find a hidden Heat Rock, a held item that
extends the duration of the move Sunny Day. Just a bit southeast from that
rock you can find a hidden Star Piece.

Grind on the railing to the west and carefully (it's safe to just get off
your rollerblades and run for the meantime) head to the south. Break the
rock to the right to reach the Burn Heal. Now backtrack to the north and
grind the railing there. Examine the rock in the middle to get a hidden PP
UP.

Next, break down the rock leading to the slope and follow the path. There's
a hidden

in a rock to the left along the way. Follow the path as it leads to a hill
that has TM57 Charge Beam. Backtrack all the way to the railing and grind
to the south.

The stairs in the middle leads back to the other side of Lumiose City but a
worker won't allow you to pass yet since there's still no power. Grind the
winding railing to the west and follow the path to reach a Sun Stone. Now
head to the west and locate the metal bridge where a Team Flare grunt is
waiting. Before confronting him, examine the large rock before the bridge
to get the Power Plant Pass. Proceed to the left to fight the Team Flare
grunt.

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: 1,320)=-
LV31 Houndoom (Dark/Fire)
LV33 Golbat (Poison/Flying)

Houndoom packs a considerable punch with its attacks. However, they both
shouldn't be a problem to deal with, unless you're using an underleveled
party. Walk past the Team Flare Member and enter the power plant.

--------------------------------------------
[c34] - Kalos Power Plant
--------------------------------------------
Continue along the first hall without incident then exit to the next room.
Before continuing in the second area, a Team Flare Grunt will stop your
advance.

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: 1,280)=-
LV32 Scraggy (Dark/Fighting)
LV32 Croagunk (Poison/Fighting)

After defeating the TF Grunt, enter the room to the right. The man in the
suit will sell you Fresh Water for P300 instead of the usual P200. Get the
Zap Plate from one of the cubicles to the right as well. This item boosts
the power of Electricity moves of the holder. Leave the room and follow the
path north. You have to face another Team Flare member.

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: 1,320)=-
LV31 Croagunk (Poison/Fighting)
LV33 Golbat (Poison/Flying)

After defeating the grunt, exit through the door and you'll find yourself
in the outer walkway. Another TF member will confront you.

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: 1,360)=-
LV34 Mightyena (Dark)

The path to the right will be blocked so you have no choice but to make
your way to the left. Another TF grunt will engage you to battle and one
more after that battle. Continue along the walkway and you'll encounter
more TF members in mandatory battles. This will continue for a few more
times as you walk around the walkway.

LV33 Swalot (Poison)

-=Team Flare Grunt (Prize Money: 1,240)=-
LV31 Croagunk (Poison/Fighting)
LV31 Scraggy (Dark/Fighting)
LV31 Liepard (Dark)

After reaching the other end of the walkway, take the ramp to the left to
catch up with this group's leader.

-=Team Flare Admin (Prize Money: 2,880)=-
LV36 Houndoom (Dark/Fire)

This battle shouldn't take long. Houndoom's fast and hits considerably hard
but it's not that tough enough to pose problems with your team.

After defeating the Admin, you'll have a break. You can heal up your
pokemon and save your game. Talk to the other Team Flare member to engage
her in battle.

-==Team Flare Aliana (Prize Money: 5,320)==-
LV38 Mightyena (Dark)

Aliana's Mightyena hits harder than any of the Team Flare pokemon you've
encountered so far. It doesn't have any moves that you should be wary
about.

After defeating Aliana, she and the Admin will leave. Two familiar faces
will arrive too. They will give you Full Restores and heal your pokemon
too. After they leave, you have to backtrack all the way back to the room
where the hostages are held.

Once there, talk to the construction worker to the left to get TM43 Flame
Charge. Talk to the scientist to get a Magnet. This also boosts the power
of the item holder's Electric-type moves. Talk to the man selling Fresh
Water earlier to discover that he's now selling those for P100 each. Leave
the power plant.

Head to the right and the construction worker who's blocking the stairs
leading to the northern part of Lumiose City is now out of the way. Go
downstairs and you'll see a tall guy mumbling about a flower pokemon that's
been given eternal life.

Go south then head to the right. There should be a small path with some
boulders you can smash. Examine the space south of the boulder to find a
hidden Stardust. Use your Dowsing Machine if you want to know its exact
location. At the end of the path lies a Rare Candy. When ready, enter the
transition gate to the south.

--------------------------------------------
[c35] - Lumiose City (North)
--------------------------------------------
Now you've reached the northern part of Lumiose City, it's time to go
around and discover more establishments the city has to offer. As you walk
ahead, Shauna will catch up with you and invite you to see the Prism Tower.
You can't go anywhere else without seeing the tower together first so head
towards the tower to reach Magenta Plaza. There's a Pokemon Center right
before reaching the tower so you may want to visit it first if you want.
Continue towards the tower for a scene.

After the scene, the gym – which is the tower itself will now be opened.
You can go there and challenge the gym leader or fully explore the city.
It's okay to get lost since there are taxi cabs and Gogoat Shuttles around
the city that will help you go to your destination. It will be a challenge
to give directions so we'll just list the locations of important buildings
and establishments so you can explore them on your own.

[LC15]-Centrico Plaza-
This is the center of Lumiose City and where the Prism Tower is located.
The area's large so the camera will pan outward and give you a top view.
There's nothing to do here so you can just leave to any of the
interconnected streets.

[LS3]-North Boulevard-

[LC16]-LMV Station-
This station operates the trains and you won't be able to board them
without a pass. There isn't anything to do here at the moment so you can
just come back later.

[LC17]-Cafe Bataille-
This is found across the Lumiose Station. This is a cafe catering to
fighters. Sadly there's nothing much you can do here.

[LC18]-Battle Institute-
This is where you can participate in Battle Tests – five straight battles
without any pause. You'll earn Battle Points (BP) which can be used to
exchange for items. You'll earn more battle points based on your
performance. Download Tests are special Battle Tests that can be downloaded
during certain times via Internet or special-event location. You can use
either a Local Connection or Network Connection.

The rules in the battles are simple:
All pokemon will battle at LV50
You can select three Pokemon for a Single Battle Test
You can select up to four Pokemon in the Double Battle Test
No duplicates! Pokemon and the items they carry must be different.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to use this facility for now since this is
considered as a post-game feature.

[LC19]-Cafe Action-
This is a cafe for film enthusiasts. Talk to man beside the counter to
receive some additional statements for your PR video. This is a daily event
so you can talk to him once a day to get more statements for your PR Video.

Further along the street, you'll find a roller skater girl that will teach
you a new roller skate trick: the backflip. It will allow you go over the
ledges, the other way around. You'll find her in front of Cafe Ultimo.

[LC20]-Cafe Ultimo-
This cafe is a watering hole for S.T. (Super Training Fanatics). You won't
get any item from them; just tips and more information about Super
Training.

[LC21]-Office Building-
This is found across Cafe Ultimo. Talk to the researcher to the right will
be looking for a Pokemon with Aroma Veil, Flower Veil or Sweet Veil. The
easiest Pokemon to show her will be Flabebe (Flower Veil) or Twirlix
(Pokemon X) / Spritzee (Pokemon Y). If you're not sure if your pokemon have
them, use your Boxes' Search function.

Show her the Pokemon that has any of the abilities she's looking for and
you'll get a Star Piece. The second floor doesn't contain anything
worthwhile. The fourth floor has a toddler that will give you a Prism Scale
by talking to her.

[LC22]-Hotel Richissime-
You'll find Mr. Bonding inside who will give you the O-Power Bargain Power.
This will allow you to purchase items cheaply in the PokeMart. You can also
stay in the hotel but it won't be by any means cheap. You can also talk to
the woman by the counter and accept the part-time jobs available in the
hotel. You can only take three different jobs a day. This is a daily event
so you'll have to return the next day to be able to work again. As you get
your job done perfectly, the difficulty and the compensation changes.

For more information about the part-time jobs you can do in this hotel,
please follow this link.

Use the elevator and head to the fifth floor of the hotel to reach the
penthouse suites. Enter the room to the right and talk to the girl in the
bathroom to get a TM49 Echoed Voice.

[LC23]-Lumiose Museum-
You can enter for free but you can pay P200 for the audio guide. With the
audio guide, you can operate the panels beside the paintings to get an
explanation for them. On the first floor, head to the left and talk to the
purple-haired guy to receive a TM82 Dragon Tail.

[LC24]-Pokemon Center-
There another Pokemon center here in North Boulevard. There's no
interesting NPC here but the Pokemart sells some special balls as well.

[LC25]-Office Building-
This is the office building west of Gate 14. Head to the second floor and
you'll witness something creepy. The room will be eerily empty so just
proceed to the third floor.

Talk to the woman to the right, in front of the cabinet to receive an
Expert Belt. Talk to the girl beside her to receive a Protein.

[LC26]-Lumiose Galettes Shop-
This is a time-restricted shop that only sells Lumiose Galettes at the
following times: 3AM, 9AM, 3PM and 9PM. Be sure to come back and buy some.
These are very helpful items that will heal ANY status ailment – a much
cheaper alternative vs Full Heals.

[LC27]-Cafe Triste-
This is located along North Boulevard near the corner of Autumnal Avenue.
There's nothing to do here and the place's practically deserted, probably
because of its rude employees.

[LS4]-Estival Avenue-

[LC28]-Cafe Rouleau-
This is a cafe for roller skaters. Talk to the old man sitting to the right
to learn about the legendary skater “The Dancing Whirlwind” in the Lost
Hotel in Route 15. Talk to the skater near the counter to learn a new
trick: the 360.

[LC29]-Loto-ID-
This is a once-a-day lottery where an ID number is generated and compared
to the ID's of the Pokemon you have. If the generated ID for the day
matches any of your Pokemon's ID, you'll win a corresponding prize. 4th
prize (1 digit) is a Moomoo Milk while 3rd prize (2 matching digits) will
give you a PP UP. Three numbers will get you a PP Max while five matching
numbers will get a Master Ball. You'll get more Ids by regularly trading
Pokemon.

[LC30]-Lumiose Press-
Here you'll find Alexa, the same journalist who gave you the Exp Share item
before. She'll also tell you about the city's hotspots.

[LC32]-Cafe Gallant-
Just a typical cafe with two old managers. Nothing of interest here.

[LS5]-Autumnal Avenue-

[LC33]-Juice Shoppe-
This is found in Autumnal Avenue, beside a taxi cab on the way to the Prism
Tower. You can buy pre-mixed juices from the man on the left side of the
counter but you can only choose once per day. The lady to the right can mix
various berries to make them as a juice/shake. You can't keep the purchased
or mixed concoction so you'll have to give it to one Pokemon in your party.

One thing you can not is that the price of the juice seems to determine the
value of the stat that will be boosted. A P400 juice will increase 4 points
while a P600 juice will increase the value by 6.

To learn more about the juices, their effects and how to mix them, refer to
this link.

[LC34]-Restaurant Le Yeah-
This is similar to the South Boulevard Restaurant, Restaurant Le Nah. This
establishment offers a Triple Battle and Rotation Battle Meal, each costs
p15,000. After completing the course meal without going over the required
number of turns and without any pokemon fainting, you'll receive Big
Mushrooms as reward.

The number of mushrooms may vary on your performance. To know more about
the Pokemon line up, refer to this link.

[LC35]-Cafe Pokemon-Amie-
This is a cafe for those who love using Pokemon-Amie and playing with their
Pokemon. Aside from some useful tips, there's nothing else you can do in
this shop.

[LC36]-Poke-Ball Boutique-
Talk to the little girl inside to receive a random special pokeball like
Luxury or Heal Balls. Talking to her is considered as a daily event so you
can talk to her again the next day to receive another special pokeball. You
can also purchase all the available special Pokeballs. (Bargain Power
O-Power affects the prices of this boutique too)

[LS6]-Hibernal Avenue-

[LC37]-Cafe Kizuna-
Just another cafe in the city with no significant importance.

[LC38]-Restaurant Le Wow-
This is a 3-star Battle Dining place but you can't enter yet until you've
become a Champion.

[LS7]-Jaune Plaza-
There is the short alley connecting Jaune Plaza and North Boulevard. This
alley is right in front of the city's Gate 13. There's only one place you
enter here and apparently, this is Trevor's house.

[LS8]-Magenta Plaza-

[LC39]-Lysandre Cafe-
This is an elite cafe located in the alley between the Magenta Plaza and
Autumnal Avenue. There's nothing you can do here at the moment.

[LS9]-Rogue Plaza Alley-
This alley has two establishments: Commercial Unit for Rent and Sushi High
Roller. The commercial unit doesn't have anything at the moment. The karate
bouncers in the Sushi High Roller restaurant won't let you in for now as
well.

If you check the alley to the side of this restaurant, you'll find a
trainer hanging out in the deadend. You can talk to him to challenge him to
a battle.

[LS10]-Bleu Plaza-
This is one of the many plazas in the city that are interconnected to major
streets and unnamed alleys. Talk to the old man in a suit in the short
alley leading to the Prism Tower for a battle.

-=Owner Toro (Prize Money: 600)=-
LV30 Diggersby (Normal/ Ground)

After beating him, check the alley leading to Gate 5 in South Boulevard to
find two trainers you can challenge.

LV30 Kirlia (Psychic/Fairy)

-=Beauty Kassandra (Prize Money: 680)=-
LV34 Roselia (Grass/Poison)

After defeating the two girls, check the backalley in the same alley where
you fought them and that will lead you to another trainer.

-=Chef Kamaboko (Prize Money: 600)=-
LV30 Pidgeotto

[LS11]-Vert Plaza-
The skater there will give you a tip on how to perform a drift-dash though
this won't be registered as a new roller blade move. There's another cafe
in the unnamed alley loading to South Boulevard's Gate 4. There's also
another trainer in the alley that you can challenge.

-=Punk Girl Lilian (Prize Money: 600)=-
LV30 Krokorok

[LC40]Cafe Cyclone
There are some poets inside and an impersonator. Talk to the girl to the
northern side of the room and she'll transform to a celebrity in front of
you. Aside from that, there's nothing much to do here either.

[LS12]-Backalleys-
There will be trainers that are hanging out in the narrow backalleys of the
city. If you talk to them, will challenge you to a battle and will
disappear after defeating them. Similar trainers can be found in the main
unnamed alleys as well, similar to those you'll encounter in Bleu Plaza.
They will reappear in the same locations after and you can battle them over
and over again.

Lumiose City Gym

The next gym leader's an electric-type so unless you have Ground/Rock type
Pokemon in your party, it might be a good idea to train one or two before
facing him. Check the next page for the battle tips and trainer/Pokemon
line up for this gym.

--------------------------------------------
[c36] - Lumiose City Gym
--------------------------------------------
The next gym has electric trainers. Bring a lot of Paralyze Heals and HP
restoration items. Also, make sure to bring at ground or rock Pokemon to
help you go on the offensive and defensive at the same time.
When ready enter the elevator where Bonnie Clemont's sister is waiting. You
have to step in front of the question marks to start the quiz game.

Bonnie will show a silhouette of a Pokemon which you should guess correctly
in order to proceed. To select an answer, you have to talk to the trainer
in front of the elevator with the corresponding number. However, if you're
after the extra experience points and cash prizes, you can deliberately
answer incorrectly and fight off the trainers assigned to those wrong
answers.

2nd floor
#1 Emolga (wrong)
Schoolboy Arno (Prize Money: p1,088)
LV34 Pachirisu (Electric)

#2 Dedenne (wrong)

LV35 Raichu (Electric)

#2: Pidgey (wrong)
Rising Star Nelly (Prize Money: p2,100)
LV35 Magneton (Electric)

Be careful when facing this one since its Metal Sound (Harshly decrease SP
defense) + Mirror Shot combo can easily rip through your ground/rock
Pokemon's defenses.

Rising Star Helene (Prize Money: p2,100)
LV35 Manectric (Electric)

#3 Panpour (correct)
Ace Trainer Rico (Prize Money: p3,600)

#3 (Wrong)
Poke Fan Tara (Prize Money: p2,720)
LV34 Pikachu (Electric)

Top Floor
After clearing all the quiz floors, you'll finally reach the floor where
Gym Leader Clemont is waiting.

-==Gym Leader Clemont (Prize Money: p5,920)==-
LV37 Emolga (Flying/ Electric)
LV35 Magneton (Electric / Steel)
LV37 Heliolisk (Electric/ Normal)

Emolga has Volt Switch which is an annoying move that will deal electrical
damage while switching out to another Pokemon. It's Static ability can also
paralyze your Pokemon which will gravely affect their speed and chance to
act. It's flying sub-type can also be a problem for some useful ground
moves such as Dig and Sand Tomb. Magneton is very resilient and be wary of
its special attacks too. It is susceptible to ground attacks since it's not
floating because its lacking the Levitate skill.

Finally Heliolisk may catch you off guard with its Grass Knot move. This
attack alone can very well turn the tide of battle especially if you're
just relying on your rock/ground Pokemon on the offensive. Nevertheless, it
still hurts a lot when it connects to Pokemon not weak against grass-type
attacks.

Rewards:
Voltage Badge
TM24 Thunderbolt

After the battle, head down to the first floor and leave the gym. You'll
receive a Holo Clip from Prof. Sycamore as soon as you exit and he'll
invite you to come over Lysandre Cafe. From your position (you should be in
front of the tower, where two monuments are standing by the entrance) head
to the left and enter the very first wide road there (Autumnal Avenue).
Look to your left and you'll find a red-painted cafe.

Enter it and approach Sycamore and Lysandre for a scene. You'll obtain the
King's Rock from this scene as well. Leave the cafe and you'll receive
another Holo Clip, this time from Trevor. He'll inform you that the group
will meet up in Route 14. Make your preparations and head to the North
Boulevard exit through Gate 14 when you're ready.

~~Additional Notes~~
You should be able to access the boutique in Vernal Avenue at this point of
the game. The prices of the outfits may surprise you though.
The guy who sells a megastone in the Stone Emporium should have lowered his
price already. You can get it for 150,000 this time.

swamp

Your neighbor and Trevor will call you once you exit the city. After
comparing your Pokedexes, your Neighbor will challenge you to a battle.

-==Pokemon Trainer Serena (Prize Money: p3,700)==-
LV35 Meowstic
LV35 Absol
LV37 Chesnaught / Delphox / Greninja

After the battle, it's time for you to explore the route. Use your Dowsing
Machine to find a hidden Super Potion in the ground near the benches to
your left. There's a Rare Candy to the northeast of the swings. You have to
take the narrow path north of the swings to reach it.

Head north of the trail until you reach the swamp. Take note that walking
on the water will trigger random battles. To start off, head east first
then north to find a Cleanse Tag. This is a helpful item that helps keep
wild Pokemon away if held by your party's lead Pokemon.

Backtrack to the main path and use your Dowsing Machine to locate the
hidden Tiny Mushroom beside the fallen tree trunk. Continue to the left and
you'll have to fight a trainer.

-=Pokemon Ranger Melina (Prize Money: p2,960)=-
LV35 Arbok (Poison)
LV37 Pyroar (Fire/Normal)

After the battle, head west and you'll find a Big Mushroom beside some tree
debris. Continue north to fight another trainer.

-=Pokemon Ranger Nash (Prize Money: p3 ,040)=-
LV38 Goomy (Dragon)

Head to the right and you'll be challenged by a new type of trainer.

-=Hex Maniac Anina (Prize Money: p1 ,088)=-
LV34 Litwick (Ghost/Fire)
LV34 Haunter (Ghost/Poison)

Continue to the north to reach the swamp. There's a dark part of the swamp
that you need to use Surf to get across. You can also go around the deeper
part of the swamp (take note that you can also fish Pokemon from these,
using your Old and Good Rods) and head to the left to get a submerged Hyper
Potion near the fallen tree. Next, you can fight the patrolling trainer
nearby as well.

-=Pokemon Ranger Reed (Prize Money: p2,880)=-
LV35 Poliwhirl (Water)
LV36 Fraxure (Dragon)
LV34 Loudred (Normal)

Walk a bit to the north and talk to the girl facing the dark waters to
receive TM06 Toxic. Now, use Surf to get across that deep water and to get
the Damp Rock. This is a held item that extends the duration of the move
Rain Dance.

Go back to the main path and head to the right this time to reach dry land.
There's another trainer waiting for you among the grass field.

-=Fairy Tale Girl Imogen (Prize Money: p1,120)=-
LV33 Floette (Fairy)
LV35 Slurpuff (Fairy)

Head to the right to find another berry tree. Pick up the Roseli Berry from
it. Next, cut down the thorny tree to the south to get TM61 Will-o-Wisp.

Backtrack to the main path and head to the left. Shauna will meet up with
you and lead you to the old creepy house. Watch the next scene. After the
old man's story, he will ask for a tip. It's up to you if you'll give a tip
or not.

Head south to the graveyard and follow the narrow path to the left. You
should find a Spell Tag beside the ledge. Examine the rock nearby to get a
Revive. Backtrack to the main path and head north until you reach the next
city.

--------------------------------------------
[c38] - Laverre City
--------------------------------------------
=In this city:=
-Laverre City Gym
-Pokemon Center
-Boutique
-Pokemon Fan Club
-Move Tutor

As soon as you enter the city, talk to the boy to the left of the first
house to get a TM41 Torment. Examine the mushroom in front of the child to
get a hidden Tiny Mushroom.

Go around the gap between the first house and the boutique to reach an
Ether beside the pond. There's a boutique here as well so check out their
inventory to change your style if you haven't done so in a while.

Continue to the right and enter the Pokemon center. You'll find Mr. Bonding
in the left side of the center. Talk to him to receive Encounter Power.
This O-Power increases the chances of encountering wild pokemon – perfect
if you're hunting or training. You can't use this to other players though.
The PokeMart sells some stat-modifying items like Protein, Iron, Calcium
etc. Expensive? You may want to level up your Bargaining Power to LV3 to
cut their prices by 50%.

Exit the Pokemon Center and head to the right. Right before the transition
gate, you can talk to a man looking for a Pokemon that's less than 1 feet
(or 12 inches) tall. This is a daily event and you can show him a Pokemon
meeting his criteria once per day. You can consult your Pokedex to check
the different Pokemon that' are around that height.

The gate leads to Route 15 though a couple of Team Flare members won't let
you pass (unless you join their gang for p5 million) Cross the bridge to
the north and use your Rods to capture some new Pokemon if you want. A Good
Rod can help you catch Basculin or Poliwhirl while an Old Rod can land you
a Poliwag.

Right ahead is the Laverre City Gym. Ignore it for now since we still have
other things to discover in the city.
Head to the right first and enter the house there. Talk to the guy in the
middle of the room that will teach a new battle combo move corresponding to
a starter: Fire Pledge, Grass Pledge and Water Pledge. When used with its
other counterparts, they become more powerful and even alter the
battlefield - perfect for double or triple battles.

Head to the left past the well and you'll find a hidden Ultra Ball on the
ground in front of the stairs. Go upstairs then head left. Talk to the
woman to obtain a Gengarite.

Enter the house to the left and talk to the man in the middle of the room.
If your lead Pokemon has maxed out EV, you'll receive and Effort Ribbon
from him. The woman in the next house will tell you the Pokemon you're with
when you won the specific badges.

Head to the right this time past the giant tree and find a hidden Leaf
Stone from the mushroom to the right. The cafe here is similar to the one
in Cyllage City where you can talk to patrons and see new Pokemon that's
not in your Pokedex yet.

Talk to the girl beside the lamppost and she'll ask you to show her a big
Pokemon, at least 9' 10” to receive a Pokedoll. This is another daily
event and you can show her your big Pokemon once a day.

Once ready, make your preparations to counter the next gym.

--------------------------------------------
[c39] - Laverre City Gym
--------------------------------------------
This Gym is home of the Fairy-type trainers and Gym Leader Valerie. You'll
breeze through them if you have powerful poison and steel moves; however
for Dragon-type trainers like me, you'll be forced to swap a few members of
your team and replace them with Fire, Poison or Steel-types. You can use
your Dragons if they're the main staple of your party; however, you'll need
to rely on non-dragon attacks and make sure they're power-leveled to defeat
the fairies with one-shot and to make sure they get to attack first. Aside
from being bane of Dragons, Fairy-types are also strong against Fighting
and Dark-types.

The layout in this gym is a bit different (and probably the best-looking
gym yet). You have to use the portals to reach various rooms until you
reach the gym leader. You may refer to the map below to know which portals
lead to where. Fortunately, the portals are two-way so you can quickly find
your way back if ever. The route with the least Pokemon trainers is
1-2-3-4-D-E while the route with the most trainers is A-B-C-D-E.

a map for this gym)

-=Furisode Girl Kali (Prize Money: p2,736)=-
LV38 Dedenne (Fairy/ Electric)
LV38 Azumarill (Water/Fairy)

Dedenne can be annoying with its Volt Switch move but as long as you can
take it out with one-hit, then it shouldn't pose that much problem.
Azumarill will use Aqua Ring which will continuously heal its HP little by
little. This wouldn't be a problem as long as your attacks deal heavy
damage that its regeneration effect won't be able to keep up.

-=Furisode Girl Linnea (Prize Money: p2,880)=-
LV40 Aromatisse (Fairy)

Frail and should be easy to defeat. However it will pose difficulties to
male Pokemon due its Attract and other supporting skills.

-=Furisode Girl Blossom (Prize Money: p2,664)=-
LV37 Klefki (Steel/Fairy)
LV37 Granbull (Fairy)
LV37 Kirlia (Psychic/Fairy)

Nothing special to note here; her lineup shouldn't cause you problems.

-=Furisode Girl Katherine (Prize Money: p2,880)=-
LV40 Slurpuff (Fairy)

This is Aromatisse's counterpart. It is a bit resilient and watch out for
its powerful moves like the Grass-type move Energy Ball. It can also drain
HP which can be a problem if you can't defeat it quickly.

Finally, you have to face the Gym Leader herself. Heal up your Pokemon and
hop on the final portal to reach her room.

-==Gym Leader Valerie (Prize Money: p6,720 )==-
LV38 Mawile (Steel/Fairy)
LV42 Sylveon (Fairy)
LV39 Mr. Mime (Psychic/Fairy)

Mawile can be easily defeated using strong Fire or Ground attacks. Sylvaeon
seems to be Valerie's ace as it has strong special attacks and can
effectively lower the attack stat of your Pokemon by two stages. She will
also use Hyper Potion on it consistently so don't hesitate to use items
whenever necessary. Mr. Mime isn't a challenge at all so there's no special
tactics needed to defeat it.

Reward:
Fairy Badge
TM99 Dazzling Gleam

After the battle, take the shortcut portal in the upper left corner of
Valerie's room. Leave the gym and your friends will invite you to explore
the Pokeball Factory. Make your preparations then head to the city's
northwest exit to reach the Factory's entrance.
