Do you think i've been tricked?
So, somebody offered to trade and told me that an egg (non-specific) was a diancie. It would not do the "oh" thing every step I took and did not hatch in the amount of steps reccomended even with hatch power on. Did I get scammed for an unhatchable egg for my precious kyurem?

There is a chance you have been tricked. However, I have heard that Legendary Pokemon (who aren't really hatch-able) do take quite some time to hatch from an egg.
I would suggest having five Pokemon with the ability Flame Body in your Party with the so-called Diancie Egg. This will cut the number of steps needed to hatch the egg. If the egg doesn't hatch after a few hours of continuous bicycle steps, then I think you have an unhatchable egg.

Many people make hacked Legendary Eggs. Isn't that obvious, since Legendaries can't be in eggs (except Manaphy and Phione).
