When I was training my AERODACTYL in the Frost Cavern, I encountered a Wild BEARTIC.
I then tried using "Sky Drop" on it, but then I got the Message:
"The Wild BEARTIC is too heavy to be lifted."
I then looked up the move on other websites to find out if the description mentions anything about this, but I got nothing.
Can somebody please explain this to me?
Is it Weight Difference?
Cause I'm confused!?
P.S. I Know that "Sky Drop" won't affect Flying Targets, or Targets with the "Levitate" Ability.

This was introduced to Sky Drop in the Sixth Generation of Pokemon. From what I've found, it is still unclear if there is a Specific Weight that is the limit for Sky Drop or if it has to do with a specific weight difference between the two Pokemon.
Hope this helps!
Sky drop can only be done on certain pokes. If it is heavier than beartic it cannot be lifted NEVER try it on giratina trust me you don't wanna try but going off topic so Pokemon like cubchoo can be lifted even though it's evo, beartic can't be is because of beartics weight any poke heavier then I think 20.5 pounds can't be lifted. But that depends on your poke and the opposing poke. I had a noivern use it on a beartic and it worked. Tyr catching a niobat . If you can't find 1 pm you friend code and ill add you and give you mine. I have 3 noivern already. Hope this helped!
Sky drop will only work against targets weighing less than 440.9 lbs. (200 kg).
If you were wondering more...
Sky drop will also fail if the target is behind a substitute or if Gravity is in effect.
