Any bad side effects to having a hacked Pokémon?
I purchased this game a while ago and I've been trading on the GTS. Now, I know people aren't always legit, because aren't we people so nice? I've been receiving a lot of hacked Pokémon, and I've been using them all the time. Now I'm starting to wonder, are these going to affect my gameplay? I'm not entering a tournament or breeding or anything, just going through the gameplay. I just want to know anything that will happen to my cartridge.

Hacked Pokemon will rarely damage your cartridge or save data, if ever. In fact, pretty much the only real way to harm the software is through glitches, and any that do indeed cause damage will likely be patched. Attempting to enter an illegal Pokemon into competitive battling won't work, but there are no consequences for doing so - you even get to keep the Pokemon.

No considering you didn't use the cheating device on your game. Even though the Pokemon was created with a Action Replay or GameShark. It wasn't made on your device. It's basically like a legit Pokemon now.
