Is there another way to collect the tree stump & finish in the alternate eding in w3-5?? Without the wiggler? I took him back to the wigglers head.

No. The game wants you to follow a certain story line and not be able to skip bits early. I tried this and when I walked up to the paperized tree stump, Kersti told me that I had to rescue the wiggler segment first and wouldn't let me go there.
