I'm at a point where I can't move any further in any of the lands. I need to find the tube that allows me to grab another scrap of tube, and also, I need to place the fan somewhere and wake up the catepillar. Help?

In the stage with the windmill pres Y to "Paperize" the FAN (you need to transform the fan into a sticker in the toad village) over the log that is next to the windmill.Inside the windmill you'll find the scrap of tube. To wake up the catterpilar you'll need a trumpet that'll you find in the boss stage from the first world.
I don't know which tube you're talking about but you stick the fan next to the windmill in world 1-4 Hither Thither Hill. This will cause the windmill to spin. When it stops spinning, the door will be cleared. To wake Wiggler up, you need the trumpet which can be found at the top of Goomba Fortress in world 1-6. If you paperize it, then stick it next to Wiggler, he will wake up.
