There is a trick to it, I figured it out by accidentally leaving my 3ds on and open for almost an hour. So thats what you do! Your cat will venture into your house and when you come back on you'll click on your kitten's pic and it will come running with a present!! I hope this helped you

If you leave open your 3ds for 3o mins or more (and don't do anything and don't leave toys out) you will realize your kitten is gone click on her picture and she will appear with a present hopped this helpped!

When your at your house in the game, put the 3DS on the charger then close the lid for 3-24 hours. (for best results do this overnight so you don't have to stop playing)

You need to leave you game for 30 mins without doing ANYTHING don't even call your dogs name then you will see that your cat is gone so just click it's picture then it will come back with a present
