You can brush the female and give the male 5 minutes of attention every day no more. Try to let your dogs bond, after some time the female will grow fat and lazy-if your lucky. Also try not to have two dogs with the same personality you can have different color dogs of the same breed though. Dont have a dog with a personality like "this male finds it hard to get along with other dogs." I have two labs the male one is white and light brown the female one is light gold almost white.
