If you use the 'Wave' gesture when you see a hot air balloon in the sky you will be able to make it shine and briefly reveal the location of a mosnster.

You may also use the 'psychic' armor skill ability or eat to get 'oracle' from food effects. Lastly drinking a psychoserum also works.
