Question for Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon

I am on level "confront the source" which is after a-5 I can't seem to beat the spider/ ghost. I have caught the webs on fire and fought the ghost once but then when I try to catch on fire again can't seem to get the web on the fan to stretch far enough. What should I do is there another way to beat the spider if not how can I get the webs to burn. Please help

First, you need to get the web on fire. Then make the fan spin with your vacuum. Keep making it spin until the web on the knight burns. You will need to avoid the purple bits of goo. You will then be able to catch the ball of web on fire and fight the Possessor again.

I have clear the web from the knight and avoided goo but as I have tried before the white web is not long enough to reach the fire and the brown web Won't stay lit when I catch it on fire and try to go get the white one.By the time I get back to brown fire is out and I can't let go of white web to try to catch the brown back on fire cause the white goes back to web. Please help me I like this game and would like to see the rest. Please

I have completed the whole thing about 5 times and it keeps making me go back and repeat.....why?

After you fight the ghost and she turns back into the spider queen, spin the fan and it will ignite the webs and burn them. They won't reach the suit of armor the second time.
