Question for LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7

In the cave year 6, I can't get past the inferi. I don't know what to do because I can't climb up the ladder and lumos doesnt work on the devils snare

You have to have Dumbledore and use the deluminator to light the lamp by the devil snare using the light from by the water.

I tried using the deluminator but it still didn't work...
