My son is stuck on level 2 on lego city the chase begins he can't get the dog out of cage he gets to cage but it won't open help please

Only you need is tofind a building to get in the gate then defeat the enimie then try look for some clues for the cage and then there is some kind of the thing to it then if you go up to the cage after you defeat the enimies then the cage will open.
That answer was mine because I didn't register any account till now so that answer is in the pending answers I made that.
