Special Extension Codes

Press 'Start' at the 'Main' menu and enter the following codes to access a special zone where you can get the indicated Pokemon. Hoothoot, Slowpoke, and Beldum each have special abilities.

Special Extension A (Unlocks Beldum):

Enter Up, Right, Down, Left, X, R, L.

Special Extension B (Unlocks Slowpoke):

Enter Up, Down, Right, Left, Y, R, L.

Special Extension C (Unlocks Hoothoot):

Enter R, L, Y, X, Left, Right, Y, X.

Scope Upgrades

The Dream Orbs you collect in the game can be used to purchase several different upgrades in the Development Lab. A good strategy is to only focus on improving your Scope as this will greatly increase the dream clouds that appear during a single-play session and so increase the rate at which you collect more orbs and Pokemon.

Swivel Chair.

Normally you play Pokemon Dream Radar by standing up and holding your 3DS in front of you turning your whole body left and right to search for clouds to shoot. You can make this a lot easier by playing on a swivel chair where you can just spin around while sitting. Doing this will extend your playing time as you won't get tired so quickly and your arms and neck won't get sore.

Generation IV Legendary Battles

When you have defeated Landorus insert the indicated main series Generation IV Pokemon game into the Nintendo 3DS to unlock the corresponding area and Legendary Pokemon. These can only be sent once per Pokemon Dream Radar game and can be obtained once per Pokemon Black 2 or Pokemon White 2 game.

Diving Extension (Lugia):

Insert Pokemon SoulSilver into the Nintendo 3DS.

Rainbow Extension (Ho-Oh):

Insert Pokemon HeartGold into the Nintendo 3DS.

Renegade Extension (Giratina):

Insert Pokemon Platinum into the Nintendo 3DS.

Space Extension (Palkia):

Insert Pokemon Pearl into the Nintendo 3DS.

Time Extension (Dialga):

Insert Pokemon Diamond into the Nintendo 3DS.
