When you win the Champion's Cup for any sport (except Golf) you will unlock the Pro difficulty setting in ALL the sports excluding Tennis, which unlocks the Ace difficulty (Pro difficulty is available by default in Tennis).
When you sometimes go on the field during horse racing you will find a white bird sitting on the grass that gives you a Mario token. If you collect 20 of these Mario tokens a wooden crate will appear which will have the Mario Token Crown inside, the final head accessory listed for your horse.
Complete the following tasks to unlock the corresponding location.
Grand Stadium:
Win the Star Cup in Soccer.
Harbor Park:
Win the Star Cup in Baseball.
Night Court:
Win the Star Cup in Tennis.
Sky Peak (1, 2, 3):
Win the Star Cup in Horse Racing.
Wild Valley:
Win the Star Cup in Golf.
When you complete the indicated task in any sport you will unlock the corresponding character in that specific sport.
Metal Mario:
Complete the Star Cup.
Pink Gold Peach:
Complete ALL the Ring Challenge mini-games on the Hard difficulty setting.
When you complete the Champion's Cup with a character in any sport you will unlock the Star version of him or her in that sport. Note: The Star version of a character is more powerful.
