Introduction

Welcome to our Pokemon Ruby Wiki!

Pokemon Ruby, along with Pokemon Sapphire, were the first third generation of Pokemon Games. Pokemon Ruby was one of the first Pokemon Games for Gameboy Advance, which provided greater graphics quality. Pokemon Ruby also introduced 135 new Pokemon, Pokemon Contests, and double battles (2 on 2).

Pokemon Ruby is about your travels as a new trainer throughout the Hoenn Region. Your goal is become one of the best trainers while defeating the Hoenn Gyms. During your journey, you will challenge by both your Rivals and the antagonist organization of the game.

You technically have two Rivals in Pokemon Ruby. One is either May or Brendan (Depending on the gender you chose). The other is Wally. May/Brendan are from the same town as you and have many of the same goals as you. Wally is a young, ill boy who wants to train Pokemon. Throughout your journey, you will battle both of these trainers.

The main Antagoinst Organization is Team Magma. Team Aqua, who is another organization that is against Team Magma, only plays a supporting role in Pokemon Ruby. Team Magma's goal is to capture Groudon, the Legendary Pokemon who Pokemon Ruby is focused around, in order to expand the amount of land is the world. They will do whatever it takes in order to accomplish their goal. It is up to your trainer to stop them while on your journey.
