The Sims: Castaway Stories Cheats and Tips

The following cheats will always work in Wanmami Island (Freeplay mode) and only in Shipwrecked and Single mode (Story mode) once the game has been completed normally. For the codes to work you must have a lot loaded, and not in the 'Neighborhood' screen. In order to enter the codes below you must bring up the console window by pressing Ctrl + Shift during gameplay. Then type in the codes (not including the quotes) to activate the corresponding cheat function. Press Up or Down on you keyboard to scroll through the console window history and press Esc to close the console window.

Increase family resources by 1,000:

Type: 'kaChing'

Increase family resources by 50,000:

Type: 'motherLode'

Toggle Buy mode tools that are normally disabled in a community lot:

Type: 'boolProp dormSpecificToolsDisabled [true or false]'

Important Note: Any items you buy will not be saved when you leave the lot. You should try to sell them before leaving to get your resources back.

Toggle aging for all Sims:

Type: 'aging [on or off]'

Toggle checking for patches through content browser:

Type: 'autoPatch [-on or -off]'

Toggles if bugs in a jar can live forever:

Type: 'bugJarTimeDecay [on or off]'

Make pet actions cancellable:

Type: 'boolProp petActionCancel [0 or 1]'

Makes pets controllable:

Type: 'boolprop controlPets [0 or 1]'

[b]Press [Comma] or [Period] to rotate any object in 45 degree increments:[/b]

Type: 'boolProp allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation [0 or 1]'

Display version:

Type: 'gameVersion'

Clear console window:

Type: 'clear'

Close or hide the console window:

Close or hide the console window:

Expand or contract the output portion of the console window:

Toggles vertical sync:

Type: 'vsync [on or off]'

Log help output:

Type: 'help [wildcard or -all]'

Ok we can control the monkeys right? Well how about the hyenas? No well there are two cheats here for you

Boolprop controlpets on means you can control your hyenas like a sim

Boolprop petactioncancel true means you can cancel what there going to do

The following cheats are ALL entered during gameplay. Press Control + Shift + C at the same time to bring up the Cheat console box and then type in the password without the quotes for the cheat you want to enable in the game.

Expand Cheat Box:

Type 'expand'.

Turn Aging On for Everyone on the Lot:

Type 'aging on'.

Turn Aging Off for Everyone on the Lot:

Type 'aging off'.

Add 1,000 Resources to Household Funds:

Type 'kaching'.

Adds 50,000 Resources to Household funds:

Type 'motherlode'.

Exit Cheat Mode:

Type 'exit'.
