You don't need to catch and/or domesticate chicken. Go into the grassland and go where there is a ledge and you can go down on YOUR left (not keiths) and then keep going down and there and there will be a bunch of trees with eggs or feathers around them! These can now be easy to get, by pushing down a log and then being able to go there all the time! So don't catch the chicken, EAT the CHICKEN! MUAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, and tell me if I spelled anything wrong
P.S. I am NOT vicky's sister. (lol)
You start out in your cave- what do you eat? Well, If you go, from your cave, about 20 paces down and go right, you'll find some stones leading across to a vast wonderland of food ^_^. If you fo more to the Northeast, there are potatoes. If you go South, there are coconut trees with coconuts on the ground. The coconuts are by far the most refreshing food- they refill alot of your thirst. Also, if you find a strait twig or a stick of bamboo, you can make a spear, and use iit to catch fish in the rivers or ocean. Once you have the spear made ( you can use a stone to make it last longer...) go to the water you're facing and press Y. Then, you'll be in spearing mode! Use your stylis to stab at a fish when you spot it. It takes practice, but lots of fish lead to a full stomache . Hope that helped a little,

If you place a small trap on the beach, all you have to do is keep checking on it constantly. If you keep this up for a while you will catch some animals.
Play as Skye:
When you beaten the game you will be able to play the game over as Skye.
Play as Boss in Challenge Mode:
Beat Skyes Story mode to play as the boss in Challenge mode
Get a basket and a twig
Combine them to make a trap
Go out side the cave and open the menu then push (A) toopen the inventory but push (A) to search the ground in between the menu and the inventory then use the trap, keep doing this untill you pick up a worm orsice instead of the trap. Then go to sleep, when you wake up the trap should be on your bed. Just keep searching the trap to get food inside the cave.
Mushrooms: The effect of a mushroom is not forever, although there is one mushroom that is supposed to heal you. Of course, that doesn't do diddly squat if you're sleeping. The stamina/steroid/insomnia? mushroom pauses your stamina gauge so you can do stuff that would normally decrease the level and it won't, but the effect lasts only about a minute. This comes in handy in the...
Ruins: After activating the water with the double switch, there are nine water puzzles to get through the back entrance to the ruins in the grassland. They involve a butload of pushing and climbing over blocks to push them out, and only crates can float, black stones can be moved but can't float, and gray stones are unmovable and can't float either. In the first room is drinking water, and there's supposedly an escape to the grassland's water flow in the pools where the water comes from in the puzzle rooms, but I don't recommend seeing if it works. The first switch activates the water flow, so don't press it until you know you've got it, and the second switch once you get across freezes the puzzle permanently just in case you need to leave and then come back and finish. If you finish, you will find a room where the left leads to a path that goes back the first room while the right door leads to...
Bandits: They are evil and want to kill the crap out of you. If they see you, run like heck to either the supply room (middle of the screen), grassland exit (that big ol' one way log in the northeast corner), or back to the ruin entrance. Also, if you make it to the next screen (you lose sight of them behind you) there's this calming sound instead of the run like hell music that means you escaped them. The enemy circles on your screen mark their location, and if one of them disappears, either you're a. too far away from that unit for it to count or b. so close you can see them but they might not see you (sometimes, if you have the icon on your screen they might be able to see you so be on your toes). If they catch you, there's this really pathetic game over where Keith gets thrown in a prison-like room and the door shut and he extends his arm and is all "Nooooo!!!" So, head straight for the entrance to the supply room. If it's your first time there, take unguarded entrance (it should be the right) and then explore around the shelf area. There should be a uniform so that you can talk to the guards (SALUTE) or walk around and not get chased around (If you wear it and enter the cave, Skye freaks out and gets mad at you, but I think that's after you tell her about the bandits). Then there's a piece of paper on the wall that has valuable info for the endings, more so the stealing the boat/stowing away in a crate endings. Climb up on the pipes/rafters/whatever they're called (DON"T RUN) and listen in to figure out the characters. If this isn't done before 7 PM aka start of nighttime, Keith will automatically be all "I have to leave now" and you have to do it another day. Only this time (or it was for me) the guards will actually be at their posts during the day. So, you have to sacrifice any stored food and rest up until nighttime, where there are searchlights going. But they're easy to dodge. Just wait for them to pass the RIGHT door, and run in. When exiting, enter the extra space to avoid the searchlights (that extra space right in front of the entrance) and wait for them to pass by and RUN LIKE HELL to exit. I don't know what happens a third time you go or if it was just unluckiness that had them actually guard it the time I went there.
When you exit your cave, walk directly to the left to the river. It's mainly at this location that you can spear catch the Black Bass, (I'm not sure if the fishing rod works as well.) When cooked, the Black Bass can fill you 30-34%. This is very helpful when you're low on food and stamina.
Also, take your fishing rod to the bottom of that particular river to where the rocks block where it empties out into the ocean. At this location, you can catch Salmon which is the only fish I know of that when made into jerky becomes Smoked Fish 1.
I'm not sure how much Smoked Fish 1 or Salmon fills you, but it's a way to get it into your scrapbook.

Based on your spelling of one of the fish and the specific recipe you need, I have a feeling I know which walthrough you are using. The ACTUAL recipe for Butter-Fried Clam is: |
How do I make a raft for the lake? What materials? How many materials? |
When Keith decides to build a raft the outline appears on the sand. Stand on it and hit A and on the screen it will show you what part of the raft you are building next, and what materials you need. The materials are logs and rope in differing quantities, but logs can be found around the jungle, reappearing every two days, and every once in a while washed up on the beaches by your cave. Rope is made from vines found in the jungle; bring some home and put them in the corner. (Skye will have made a spot in the back left corner when you first brought home a vine) do so by walking up to the spot and hitting A, sometimes you have to change your angle a few times, just like when you talk to Skye, in order for it to register. Then hit the up and down arrows to transfer vines in and out of your bag. Ask Skye to make rope, and when she tells you she is done you can go "check ropes" again in the corner and hit the left button, then put transfer ropes into your bag with the down arrow. Ropes do not take up space in your bag; in order to see how many you have, open your bag and then hit the x button. This action also shows you how many worms and spices you have collected. |
Where is the mountain located and how do you get to it? |
The mountain is actually a dormant volcano, if you go through the jungle to the north and climb through the rocky area there you will come to the top; it's a caldera that filled with water after the last eruption. You'll find it as you move further into the game. |
I don't know how to put my items (bamboo, tree vine) into the stock piles for Skye to make... I ask her to make somethi.. |
Well to put them in the baskets the bottom says how much vines or bamboos you have in your bag. If you go up you will put the things in the basket. When your finished press A. Then ask Skye to make it. |
Can you help answer any of these questions?
