Next Disease Level

Winning in Casual mode will not enable you to unlock the next disease level in the game, to do this you must play in Normal or Brutal mode and destroy the world with your plague before a cure is found.

Poor Country

Choose a poor country that already has problems with water purification, sanitation, and health care when you first start the game so the chances of your plague thriving and spreading quickly significantly increase.

DNA Points

Early in the game DNA points will be easy to come by but as more areas are infected they will appear less so spend them wisely otherwirse you will find yourself devolving a trait to earn them back which will be at a rate of two at a time. When you do have plenty of DNA points try to purchase traits in all areas of abilities, transmissions and symptoms so your odds of keeping a cure at bay are increased.

Geography

If you are clued up about geography and different cultures around the world use it to your advantage when making decisions as this game uses real life statistics.

Statistics

When it comes to making strategic game descisions as to which traits you need to purchase with DNA points make a point of consulting the statistics and using them as a guide.

Economies

To keep your disease spreading and evolving when you have progressed to the more advanced diseases you will need to research the economies and the climates of different areas to help you make decision on how to keep the disease spreading at a faster rate than a cure can be found.

Calendar

You can manipulate the calendar on the top right of the screen to go fast forward or go back in time by tapping the arrow which is underneath it.

News

Keep an eye on the scolling news at the top of the screen and use the information it gives you to your advantage. If for example it states that all livestock is being killed you need to start thinking of purchasing the ability of another type of animal or insect to spread the plague.

Notifications

Even if your game is not open on your device it will still be progressing so make a point to check frequently and watch for push notifications stating that a cure has been found while you are away.

Beat ALL 6 plague types on the Brutal difficulty setting to unlock the Neurax Worm.

This virus becomes unlocked when you beat ALL the standard plagues and the Neurax Worm on the Brutal difficulty setting.

Complete ALL modes (Bacteria through Bioweapon) under the Brutal difficulty setting to unlock the 'No Cure', 'No Action' and 'Infinite DNA' options.

Bio-Weapon Mode:

Complete Nano-Virus under the Normal or Brutal difficulty setting.

Fungus Mode:

Complete Virus under the Normal or Brutal difficulty setting.

Nano-Virus Mode:

Complete Prion under the Normal or Brutal difficulty setting.

Parasite Mode:

Complete Fungus under the Normal or Brutal difficulty setting.

Prion Mode:

Complete Parasite under the Normal or Brutal difficulty setting.

Virus Mode:

Complete Bacteria under the Normal or Brutal difficulty setting.
