The shovel can be used to dig up and remove one piece from the board. If the piece you dig up is required in your collection it will be added to your total automatically. Use the shovel wisely as it will have to be recharged after it has been used three times.

This becomes unlocked when you have collected 6 gold bricks and allows you to continue your current run for five additional turns on top of the ones you are already provided with.

Although it is not necessary, signing in to Facebook allows you to challenge other players's scores on certain stages and provides gifts and additional lives without having to spend real money.

Boosters give you a turn-based advantage on the board, they are very useful as they allow you to do certain things. They become unlocked the further you progress through the game.

You are provided wih plenty of gold and hearts to start of with so you won't need to think about investing real money until you reach the later levels which means you have lots of free gameplay until then.

Earning stars depends on the amount of vegetables you can match up within the allotted number of turns. There is a small meter in the upper left corner of the screen that tracks your progress with each turn. Stars will begin to unock as it fills, fill it to the top to earn ALL 3 stars.

This power-up is used to clear away a whole row of vegetables. Save it for when you are stuck or need to clear away some of the debris that can't be matched up right away. The Tractor power-up can only be used once so use it wisely.

Every now and again you will encounter a boss battle where you will need to collect the four required veggies on the board as many times as you can before running out of turns. Each new veggie you acquire will take a small percentage off the boss' life force until they are defeated.

Try to match four, five or more items as this will earn you more stars, help clear additional vegetables on the board and create more opportunities for the ones you need.

If you do not get the required amount of veggies you will have to use a heart to try the stage again. When you have used up all four of the hearts you are given you then either need to use your gold bricks to refill them, wait about a half hour to refill each heart or ask your friends on Facebook for extra lives.

You begin the game with 50 gold bricks, if you want additional gold bricks they are available as an in-app purchase ranging from $.99 to $109.99, depending on how many you want.

Collecting animals will give you an advantage on some stages, when unlocked animals will take up residence on your farm. They do not provide anything in terms of gameplay apart from stocking it up with barnyard life.
