These two bonuses can be gained by entering your ship and rolling left to right until both walls are hit once.
If you begin a game by rolling 10 times left to right, followed by doing a flip in the air you will become invincible.
If you do a directly vertical spinning jump and hold up, Samus stalls in midair. Perfect to use with the screw attack, since most if not all attacks will do absolutely nothing to you during it.
When you have a game completion time of 3-5 hours you will get the normal ending of Samus standing still. If you take longer than 5 hours to complete the game you will get the bad ending which will have Samus running in place. If you manage to complete the game in under 3 hours you get the ending with Samus in her bikini.
When you have beaten the game in under 3 hours Samus will appear in the ending wearing her bikini.
Beating Queen Metriod is simple, and I will guide you to victory!
Alright, first when you drop down the shaft into the Queen's room, she will be dormant. Fire 2 missles at her then prepare to dodge. The queen uses 3 attacks: attacking with her head, biting at you, and firing projectiles. The easiest way to beat her is as follows: When she attacks with her head, start using a spin attack to deflect these shots, along with her ball things. After she shoots her balls, fire a missle at her. Repeat this process a lot more times until her head snaps become noticeably quicker, then stand at the lower right-hand corner, and when she snaps at you, fire a missle at her without moving. If you hit her with her mouth open, she will freeze. Roll into a ball and then her mouth. She will unfreeze, but you will be in her mouth taking little damage. Roll to the left into her stomach, then lay a bomb. She will flip out and be extremely damaged. Do this 2-3 more times and she will die.
NOTE: If you run low on health or missles, roll under the spot under the queen and heal yourself. If you do this, you must start the fight again except with no metroids to block your path.
NOTE 2: You cannot pause during the fight.
As you may know, the game doesn't let you save while you are using Spider Ball. However, for a very brief frame at the edges of the save platform, the game will actually allow you to save while using Spider Ball.
Jump onto the platform, ball up and activate Spider Ball, then roll off one end of the save platform, and if you are sharp enough, you may see the "Press Start to Save" message at the bottom of the screen while doing this.
If you can move yourself so that the message remains at the bottom of the screen while using Spider Ball, you can save with it actiavted.
Start by doing a spin jump, but hit Up on the D-Pad immediately after inputting the controls for the spin jump to spin jump upwards, rather than off to the side. From here, while spin jumping straight up, hold A. You will ascend very slowly, then descend slowly for half of the way, before falling back to normal speed again.
