When you have got ure 1st orb go back to the reble camp when you r there do not enter the camp keep on forward to the person who sells u some potions.

Then when u see the castle behind him

go towards the castle turn left thengo strate on onto that level when you fight and defeat the boss some doors will open and you will get your ice orb.

Let the opening sequence finish first before you enter at the options screen 'select preferences'

Hold A and press B(6) - Start a new game to get weapons potions and extra food.
